Well I called Nintendo after another crash while it was just sitting there redownloading a game. The error code prompted them to repair it so I'm sending it in. Anyone been thru this? Is turnaround time decent?
X-Morph Defense is there anyone with this game? The site looks as if it is not going to do a review of the game which is sad. I have been waiting on it.
Dragons Dogma is up for preorder on the Australian Eshop. Price is only $39.95 which is a little suprising. I mean its nice, but thought Capcom would have charged a little more, so I bought it in case they change their minds. 😒
We’re getting close to Chocobo’s Dungeon, which is my big March hyped release. Still utterly captivated by Trials Rising though (this one might rival Monster Hunter for my new favorite game on the Nintendo Switch). Not really that excited for Yoshi. Idk. I’m buying it and all but... eh.
It’s about to get crackin in April though. Darksiders in a few weeks, and I am totally definitely playing that game once I have it in the palm of my hands. Same for Dragons Dogma. Then it’s Final Fantasy extravaganza with X/X-2 and XII back to back. I’m soooo playing all of those games next month. I don’t stand a chance at completing any of them before the next one drops, but I’m sure as heck gonna try. Assassins Creed and Sonic Racing and Mortal Kombat and Resident Evil 0, 1 and 4... I actually do want to play through Assassins Creed, given the fact I’ve never actually finished any game in the series. If I have it on a hybrid system I love, I’ll actually play it through I think. Same for Resident Evil 1 HD which I want to play to see how the series got started, and RE4 because everyone tells me it’s the best game in the series and I never actually played it through. I loved Revelations though, and even going all the way back to the 3DS version I used gyro to aim. They better have gyro in RE4. I’m not even kidding, they need to have that.
@GeeEmm
Ya Capcom has been on fire with the prices lately (barring recent RE nonsense). $29.99 for Dragon’s Dogma here in the US, which is only $23.99 at BestBuy with GCU.
Insanely awesome game for an insanely awesome price.
Psalms 22:16 (1,000 yrs before Christ)
They pierced My hands and feet
Isaiah 53:5 (700 yrs before Christ)
He was pierced for our transgressions
Zachariah 12:10 (500 yrs before Christ)
They will look on Me whom they pierced
@JaxonH I'm super excited for darksiders too. Haven't pulled the trigger on resident evil yet though. In due time I'm sure I'll cave in. I'm trying to zip thru as many games on Wii u as possible before the end of the March because like you said that's when things ramp up on switch.
Side note, looks like picnic panic dlc for the messenger is coming in summer
Nothing in the meantme though, other than maybe quick sessions in Smash & NSMBU Deluxe, as I'm currently looking elsewhere as I'm awaiting the arrival of my PSVR! It's bundled with Astro Bot & Moss, both of which are supposed to be fantastic.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
@RR529 If you have any love for Tetris, then get Tetris Effect. I hear it's spectacular in VR. To be honest, it's pretty spectacular on a plain old HDTV, too.
Currently Playing: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (NS2); Corpse Factory (PC)
I'm sitting here enjoying Onimusha, thinking about what other PS2/Xbox ports I'd like to see on Switch. Prince of Persia, Viewtiful Joe, Beyond Good & Evil, Maximo: Ghosts to Glory, Red Faction I&II, Max Payne 1&2, etc. We're well into 2019 and the big publishers continue to sit on a mountain-sized back catalogue of classics that would sell well on Switch. Capcom, THQ Nordic, Square Enix, and Ubisoft appear to be the only publishers that like money?
I want more ports.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,536 games (as of December 14th, 2025)
Switch 2 Physical Collection - 4 games (as of December 8th, 2025)
@Magician It's time I knew more about you. Would love to get my head round your beyond-insatiable approach to Switch games. Do you work? Got kids? How are you financing your collection and how many of your 281 have you played so far?
I only ask out of envy, not taking a pop. I'd love to be able do what you're doing, but even with a physical collection around 30 games, I've got more than I can play any time soon (though admittedly I do use my 3DS a fair amount still too).
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?

My collection is due to having a fairly decent job, no wife or children, and near zero responsibility. I pay my monthly bills like most everyone else. But outside of the hobby I live minimally, quite frugal really. I still use a flip phone from the 90's, I rarely go out to someplace nice to eat, and I set out a budget plan for just about everything I do in life.
Prior to the Switch I had been mostly digital-only, 2011 until now. I hadn't built a collection like this since the Neo Geo back in the early 2000's. But the Switch sparked a desire in me. I've enjoyed this hobby of ours for over thirty-five years, and no platform has driven me to amass a collection such as this.
As an agnostic gamer (platforms don't matter, only the games) I suppose I'll go all-digital again with the PS5 and Xbox Scarlett. That's the direction the industry is headed whether we like it or not. So from that perspective I feel as though the Switch, as a platform, is the last we'll see physical media supported as well as it is now. I'm building something that's part time piece, part display piece for a hobby that I love.
Of the 281 games, I've played most of them. Finished several of them even. But there simply aren't enough hours in the day to play each of them to completion. I try to play each one for an hour to two before moving on to the next. On average I'd say I play around twenty hours a week. Invariably, time for other interests, family, friends, and necessities of life detract from the attention I'd like to give the hobby.

@Grumblevolcano I thought of that, except it was 7pm when I checked. So even Pacific would be 4pm. Maybe they had an issue. At the same time, it’s still available in Europe.
EDIT; Yup, it’s up now. I got to play a few levels and it’s quite enjoyable.
Castle Crashers seemingly coming to the switch! Was a brilliant game from last gen and this perfect on the switch. Hope it gets announced at PAX East in a couple weeks!
