I only put in twenty hours to Mario Tennis which is unusual for me as I normally get a lot more from Nintendo first party games. The single player was great but short and I can't play online as the game doesn't deem my internet good enough (Arms, MK8D and Splatoon 2 are all fine strangely) and the wife just didn't get in to it so local multiplayer is rarely touched.
@bluemage1989
I've messed with my settings in my router to achieve a solid connection. Turning off DMZ in the router settings (accessible by typing your IP address into your browser and logging in, usually via admin/password or the password on the back of your router box) solved my issues. As did prioritizing Switch above all other devices ( though that's simply to avoid split-second disconnections).
I've also heard of people who have a PC on all the time turning on the Wifi sharing, so that you connect through the signal repeated by the PC. Others still connect via mobile hotspot. Just some ideas, even if not for this particular game because you may encounter these issues in the future with another game.

@Cobalt I was excited for this. So excited. I wanted to enjoy this so much but now the authority on what is good enough (with no doubt a digital foundry video in the future to back up his claims that we are but idiots for wanting to enjoy something) has declared it not good enough I shall immediately cease being excited. Now that I think about it all happiness and excitement is just a precursor to disappointment how silly of me to have believed otherwise from now on I will be sure to contact you for approval before being excited as clearly a simpleton like me is incapable of judging quality and having my own opinion of what is acceptable. Thank goodness we have the thought police to guide us. Your a real hero.
Yup, that’s Ark. Oh, I thought that was playing on Xbox One, since it’s nearly identical footage. Same frame rate drops and texture unloads as Fallout 76 on a PS4 Pro, too.

@subpopz It was given to me by a friend on X1, so it was a bit more enjoyable than if I had bought it. This was during the full price ‘preview’, too. But yeah, it’s certainly got consistent issues and hiccups.
Having already experienced it, I’d only get it on Switch for $10-$15.

Ark is definitely a "wait for patch" game. But not because Cobalt says... but because we can make our own determination on games for ourselves.
To be honest it's running about as well as I expected. But as I recall they did get the other versions running pretty decently after some patches. As long as they can address those choke points of framerate, I'm in.
As for Zelda, I think I'd rather have Skyward Sword, although I'd happily take Windwaker (and Twilight Princess) as an alternative. It's just that... we don't have any access to an HD Skyward Sword yet, and Switch with motion and touch screen is the one chance they'll have to remaster this game, provided they move onto a new concept next generation (which I think they'd be fools to do but, you know Nintendo). I played a good portion of Skyward Sword and I gotta say, it's one of my absolute favorite Zelda games, at least from what I've played. Dungeons and puzzles are incredibly good.
I mean Zelda II is the second best Zelda game after BotW, so it absolutely does need a remake... :^]
About Link's Awakening though, I've been saying since March that they could possibly be doing a Link's Awakening 3D on 3DS. Idk if it would go over so well or if it would even be a possibility and it is nothing but speculation, but you never know with Nintendo who decided to put Luigi's Mansion and Kirby's Epic Yarn on 3DS.
Metroid, Xenoblade, EarthBound shill
I run a YouTube/Twitch channel for fun. Check me out if you want to!
Please let me know before you send me a FC request, thanks.
Wind Waker, Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword needs it the most. The first 2 to get more of the Wii U's library on Switch and the latter because most Wii games haven't aged particularly well on HDTVs.

He just posted one video of Ark running like complete dog crap, basically warning anyone who's interested in this to watch out. You dudes must really dislike Cobalt to be so passive aggressive towards him for posting one video.
The Harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.
