@Knuckles-Fajita Maybe it's a way off for the Switch and PC. Development on the ports may not begin until after the PS4 and Xbox One versions are finished. Or, maybe it's Activision and being the money greedy corporation they are, they are hoping people double dip upon hearing on Switch/PC ports. Personally, that last one sounds most plausible. Activision are known for outright saying all they care about is money, nothing else.

And why wasn't it announced for PC? I'm actually more butthurt that it wasn't initially announced for PC than Switch, because PC is MUCH more popular and would actually allow 60fps and the PS4/Xbox are pretty much just mini-PCs at this point. I don't mind 30fps, especially since both Crash and Spyro were 30fps games, but seriously not even announcing the PC version alongside the PS4/Xbox version rubbed me the wrong way more than them not announcing the version for Switch.
@Knuckles-Fajita Xbox1 and PS4 sales don't really eat into each other (why would they!) However, folk are deciding whether they buy it on Switch or PS4/XB1. If they delay the game on Switch (and fair dos it might give it time for optimisation) then folk buy the home console version, and the Switch can mop up the Switch owners AND the double dippers. Heck, Activision are going all in on this strategy, they are releasing 2 Switch versions it seems hehehe
I never drive faster than I can see. Besides, it's all in the reflexes.
what a surprise, turns out it was coming to Switch and they just chose not to announce it with the other versions. I'm shocked I tell you, shocked. Well, not that shocked
Inb4 Activision scrambles to delete the Switch listing on the site, claiming it was a "mistake" and there's "No plans" for a Switch version.
But yeah, looks like their odd decision to hold off on announcing a Switch version late for no reason didn't work. I understand some third party titles are held of for Directs, but that's not always the case.
Not just Switch, but PC version not being there? Like... why? Because with the PC and Switch versions, there would have been absolutely no reason to get it on Xbox or PS4 aside from convenience?

Please let me know before you send me a FC request, thanks.
activision has been using battle.net for their multiplayer hit titles (CODBO4 & Destiny 2). although, i think Spyro would fit better on other PC apps (Steam, Gog etc.) if it is coming.
Spyro will be at SDCC, maybe they are making the announcement there for switch/pc release?

Switch announcement will probably be saved for whenever the next Direct is. The March Direct was when the official announcement of Crash for Switch happened after all.
Sorry for interrupting the Spyro discussion, but how difficult are the Azure Striker Gunvolt games?
I decided to watch the trailer for the Striker Pack when I was browsing the eShop earlier, and it really caught my attention, but I really haven't played anything similar other than Mega Man: Dr Wily's Revenge on 3DS years ago, and while I enjoyed it, there was no way I could beat it without save states (the first four levels weren't that bad, and in fact I got quite adept at easily beating them, but that 5 boss in a row challenge in Wily's Castle got me every time without save states).
Other than that, the only remotely similar thing I've played are the 2D Metroid games, and even then they're probably only similar in their Sci-Fi theme (the only one of these I had to get help with is the original).
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
@RR529 Azure Strike I heard is closer to the Zero games on DS. If you want something similar to Mega Man in Dr Wily's then look to the Mighty Gunvolt series. They aren't to difficult and with Might Gunvolt Burst there are tons of customizations you can do to make the game as easy or hard as you want. Stuff like how much damage you take and do and how fast your shots fire stuff like that.
I have played through and beat both of the Might Gunvolt and can't recommend them enough!!!
