I looked up that game and it's actually from 2005. Interesting it's getting ported to consoles after so long.

Oh man, I think I remember seeing that on the DS/3DS. Wow, now I feel real old.

@redd214 i already played it. It was pretty good except for the lynels.

That Banner Saga Trilogy getting a physical release is huge.

I have really been wanting to buy these games but the problem was they were 5 or 6 GB a piece, which is somewhere between 15 and 18 GB total for all three games.

The physical release should be able to cram all three games onto a 16 GB cartridge, or at the very least get two of the games on cartridge and one of them as a download. Either way it's going to save a minimum of 10 to 12 GB. And how cool is it having Banner Saga on a cartridge, right?

@Tsurii Not really. Pokemon is just a much more attractive franchise both conceptually and gameplay-wise.

I do have to admit, though, all of the Yokai Watch games have been really visually impressive thus far.

The thing that i fear from Yokai Watch 4 is content from Yokai Watch Shadow.
Those Yokai are NOT Kawaii (Cute) anymore.

Pokemon games, besides having better combat, music, and more iconic monster designs, are also primarily adventures. There's something about the idea of stepping out into the wilderness of the unknown in the prime of your life to find yourself that tickles something very ancient in human minds. There's a positively mythic element to the Pokemon journey.

I like both YW4 and Pokemon... both looks cool enough and once YW4 is localized I think I might be picking it up.

It looks good, and personally always though Level 5 do good stuff with their RPGs

Cant wait to play Yokai Watch 4 in 3 years when it gets localised.

@redd214 the steam banner is far better than that boxart . unless this one is an complete different game than the one on switch. (also very surprisingly positive reviews on steam too.) but im not much of a fan of horse sim games.

So, I've been playing Octopath Traveller throughout the day. I'll just transfer what I said in the Octopath forum:

Beat Primrose's chapter 1, then went and did Olberic's chapter 1 and recruited him. And I gotta say, I enjoyed his path just as much as Primrose's this time around. For some reason when I played his path in the first demo I thought it was good but not spectacular, but this time... I just really liked it. In fact I think it's right up there with Primrose. I love the story and characters in this game. So good.

I want to start getting hyped for Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, because it's just over a month away and it's one of my favorite series of all time but I can't seem to think about anything else other than Octopath and YS VIII right now. These two games are so incredible and to have them back to back, even games like Wolfenstein 2 and Captain Toad and Shining Resonance and Crash Trilogy and Mario Tennis Aces and the almighty Hollow Knight are having to take a back seat.

That speaks volumes to just how game-rich the Switch library is right now.

I've downloaded a free traditional Mahjong app to my tablet so I could get a feel for the game in case I wanted to download one of the offerings on Switch, and while it's taken a bit of getting used to, after some trial & error, and reading up on the game, I've started to come to grips with it. I've even won my last two matches in a row!

I have just noticed something interesting on the Switch device itself. There is some sort of a port or a sensor on the bottom center of the screen slightly to the left. Could this be the ambient light sensor? Once you see it, you'll know what I'm talking about.
