You can buy Japanese E-shop card for Japanese 3DS / Wii U / Switch.

Btw, i had found if in my country, there were a shop that sold Japanese e-shop codes. A bit pricey but at least i can order them by phone.

@kobashi100 I've always liked play asia. They are running a summer sale now so the e-shop cards don't have the 2 dollar mark up (or currency conversion I suppose). Just snagged two 5000 yen cards, got the codes instantly and have already spent the money. lol.

One of my favourite graphical glitches from Ys VIII so far:

Through this entire area, if Hummel was in a cutscene or in any kind of weary animations during gameplay, his polygons from his face....extended....greatly.

No, this doesn't mean it's bad or a bad port. Just a funny glitch for one area of the game, in one circumstance, for one character that you dont need to use or even do this scenario.

@EvilLucario I've also seen some weird shadow stuff in the background like the cutscene after you meet Sahad.

There are a lot of things I'm surprised weren't caught in this game...

@Knuckles-Fajita, Hummel didn't do that to me during that section of the game, so maybe it's a case by case thing, or somewhat rare to trigger?

@Knuckles-Fajita I've stared at that screenshot for a couple of minutes now, and all I'm noticing is the typo.

So the Switch version of Ys VIII is pretty much the Switch equivalent of Sonic 06?

I've encountered almost nothing in the way of bugs or glitches so far.

Or they've been so slight that I just haven't noticed them.

Apart from some weirdness with shadows, of course.

@Grumblevolcano Sonic 06 broke when you looked at it funny. Ys VIII just has a bit of graphical and text errors here and there. Not really comparable.

@JaxonH I kind of wish I had waited for the Switch version now.I played the game on the PS4 a few months ago and absolutely loved it but seeing the touch screen in action..so much easier than the dual shock controller..

It's not Sonic 06 bad, though by some folks' logic we should be thankful we had a HD Sonic game at all, considering we need to be thankful we have these Switch games at all.

@RR529 Anyway, when I was in that area, its all he did. Caught a fish? Face went flying. Injured animation? Face went flying. Cutscene? Face goes.

If it's somewhat rare to trigger then it happened a lot for me.

YS VIII is incredible. I'm VERY thankful I dont have to rely on a PS Vita to play this game now, cause frankly I just wouldn't play it at all if that was the case. Wouldn't play it on PS4 either. If it cant come with me nowadays, I'm probably not gonna play it. Every day I wake up I'm thankful for all the great games on Switch. Dang right.

I was pretty confident it would come to Switch, but I still bought on X1 for posterity's sake. But I'm super glad I get to experience Okami HD with motion on the TV and touch on the go. That's the kinda stuff that elevates a game to legendary status

@JaxonH Ys VIII is indeed incredible (In gameplay and music) and it is a shame that this series went unloved for so long even on a huge platform like PS4.

@Knuckles-Fajita Eh. Minor typo here and there is no big deal. And, to be fair, it hasn't been completely patched yet.

I was looking for some sort of egregious visual glitch like that one you posted earlier.
