@KirbyTheVampire A few of the indies are what would have qualified as AAA titles back on the GBA or SNES, or even DS or 3DS. It definitely helps to keep an open mind to what's out there. Though, sifting out the gems is a pain as always, luckily Switch has a much better ratio of good games to bad than most systems I've dealt with. We'll see how long that lasts though lol.
@-Green- I gotta pick up the Octo Expansion soon, but I have too much to play. I'm almost done with Hollow Knight, I just need to get the best ending soon. Thankfully I just beat Xenoblade 2's Challenge Mode, though Mario Tennis Aces launches Friday so rip even more time.
Then on September Xenoblade 2's story DLC will launch, and oh boy I can't wait for that.
I got a physical version of Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles and it won't let me redeem the points for it, says I'm not in the right region. I'm in the US. Anybody know about this?
Also I played it and I'm not in love with it. It feels like BotW mixed with Animal Crossing/Harvest Moon, but something about it isn't clicking for me. I'm going to give it another hour or two but I don't foresee myself sticking with this one. Though I'm apparently already at 20% completion! Edit: In two hours! (At least that's what it says when I save.)
@KirbyTheVampire most innovation happens in indie titles nowadays. The so-called AAA companies are trying to perfect a formula for maximizing money, while indies for the most part are creating games themselves wants to play.
Indies are mostly junk I take an easy pass on. That's the downside to indies. There's a truck load of garbage you have to sift through.
But man, the games that break through rival even the best AAA games I've played. Hollow Knight, Shovel Knight, Steamworld Dig 2 and Celeste definitely come to mind.
Other high quality games include Rive, Shantae Pirates Curse and Half Genie Hero, Mighty Gunvolt Burst, FAST RMX, Stardew Valley, Immortal Redneck (only recommend on Switch with motion controls), Owlboy, Nine Parchments, Runner 3, etc. You'll notice I'm not very big on pixel art indies. There's a few exceptions but, generally speaking a pixel art indie game has to be absolutely incredible to grab my attention.
Fire Emblem Three Houses GameXplain Analysis
Lots of good analysis here, such as noting weapon durability has returned (was MIA for Fates and Shadows of Valentia). Lots of good stuff in this video. Definitely recommend a watch. The next nine months are going to be excruciatingly painful waiting for this game.

@Octane
Yup, those too. Ori and the Blind Forest also (although published by MS I believe it was an indie team contracted to make the game).

@TheLobster I heard there is no points for physical games under 40$. On the other hand i recieved some points for rocket league, maybe only selected few give you points? Don’t know.
Also i couldn’t recieve points for I am Setsuna but i have japanese version so i thought there is some regional issue(even though i got points for japanese Zelda without any problems)
@Anti-Matter Redeem eshop points(coins?), the ones you get for every purchase and can use them for future puchases.
@darkfenrir
Yup, those too! I own all 3. Pyre was especially weird, but in a good way. Until they come to Switch I plan on buying for PC on GPD Win 2 (assuming all 3 are on PC, I think they are)

@-Green- My top 3 Switch paid DLC would probably be:
1. Xenoblade 2 Expansion Pass
2. Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion
3. Fire Emblem Warriors Season Pass (wasn't that impressed by the Pokken DLC, haven't started Mario + Rabbids yet so can't judge that game's season pass, BotW expansion pass would be a somewhat close 4th)
Started playing the new Octopath Traveller demo last night. Primrose path since I never did that one in the previous demo.
I'm really, really sold on this game now. It's just so good.

@JaxonH
It's very good. The only thing that broke my immersion (very important for RPGs for me) is when you have more than one of the travelers in your party and you meet another traveler for their backstory. You still do that traveler's initial prologue with just them, but then comes the point where you travel into the "dungeon" for that backstory, and suddenly all of your other characters are along for the ride with zero explanation or acknowledgment between them all.
Like, I did Alfynn the apothecary first and then met Therion the thief. You do the first part of Therion's backstory as normal (just him, just like you're starting the game fresh), but then comes the part where you journey into the "dungeon" (every character has one), and suddenly Alfynn is back in the party with no real acknowledgment from Therion aside from, "Alright, let's do this."
I can only imagine how this problem is going to multiply when you have 5, 6, 7 travelers along with you, especially travelers with totally opposite moral viewpoints. The Alf/Therion pairing isn't too contradictory, but what if I had the cleric along instead of Alf? Surely she wouldn't be so down with just stealing (won't spoil much)? In a FF game with a single plot, you'd have interaction between the characters detailing this sort of moral conflict, and that's what lots of RPG fans love, but here...we might not get that. And that leaves a BIG hole for me in this experience.
@rallydefault
I don't look too deep into that sort of thing. Just go with the flow and enjoy things how they play out.
