@OorWullie I forgot about SEGA AGES. I'll probably nab a couple of those as well.

@Grumblevolcano Have you played Captain Toad before, or is this your first time? It's an incredibly charming little game. One of my favorites on Wii U.

I prebought Mario Tennis Aces, preordered Dark Souls Remastered, already bought Xenoblade 2 DLC, and I'm looking into Ys VIII and Octopath Traveler.

Also, I double-dipped on BotW so I'm doing a second playthrough of that in conjunction to Challenge Mode on Xenoblade 2. Then when Bringer of Chaos mode hits Xenoblade 2, I'll be playing that game for the third time.

Heck yeah dude.

@Ralizah I got it day 1 on Wii U, I beat the main game but didn't 100% complete as a result of backlog at the time. I aim to buy all Wii U ports of games I bought on Wii U that happen as I'd much rather play them on Switch.

Just think next year's line up should look something like this

Yoshi
Fire Emblem
Bayonetta 3
Pokémon
Metroid Prime 4
Something Mario or Zelda or both (a year won't go by without something starring them)
Maybe even Starfox GP

and if Reggie is to be believed we should finally get the influx of 3rd party support.

If all that comes to be then it will be the year of all years. What a line up. One things for sure at least 6 of them are happening.

Some people here seem to buy every single game. Do you guys even have the time to play them all?

Did anyone here buy Soccer Slammers? I was playing some two-player matches yesterday and was having a problem in that when a goal was scored, the scoring team would sometimes be placed in the wrong half at the kick-off. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Only thing I'm buying for the Switch this year is Smash. Might get something like Golf Story, but I doubt it. Too much I want to play on PS4.

@OorWullie As of 3 days ago i was certain that Metroid Prime 4 was a late 2019 title with a small chance of it being 2020(never thought for a second it would be 2018 and never understood why some ppl believed so). Now after this year's E3 i'm leaning more towards the 2020 scenario.

I plan to get Super Smash Bros Ultimate and Okami HD.

I haven't played Okami before, so that'll be my first experience.

I'm hoping next year is more exciting. SSBU is the only actual Switch exclusive that has interested me all year.

@Ralizah I have to agree about Captain Toad it just oozes laid back charm. Not sure I'll pick it up again as I did finish it and don't think the little extra content justifies a second purchase, however, I do think it is much better suited to the Switch as its bite sized diorama levels are prefect for pick up and play for twenty minutes on daily commutes so hope it finds a good audience on Switch.

Basically, just be sure to buy a good quality cord for use with your Switch. Anker puts out good accessories, for example.

@bluemage1989 Yeah, I agree, Captain Toad is a PERFECT Switch game. But I don't think there will be enough extra content to justify repurchasing it.

I've got too many 2018 Switch games preordered to list, so I'll stick to the ones I'm most excited about.

Valkyria Chronicles 4 (one of the best SRPG series ever, and on a hybrid system too? Deal me in)
Shining Resonance (demo is excellent, somehow looks almost as good visually as Tales on PS4)
Tales of Vesperia (one of the all time JRPG greats, yet another top tier JRPG joining the hybrid lineup)
Monster Hunter Gen Ultimate (HD portable Monster Hunter, nuff said)
Okami HD (held off other versions waiting for Switch, and that decision is now paying dividends)
Dark Souls Remastered (it's freaking Dark Souls, in HD on a portable, with game suspend... hype)
The World Ends With You (one of the all time greats, yet again added to the hybrid RPG library)

Starlink (the Starfox game I've been waiting on for years- this game really does look amazing)
SNK Heroines (definitely my style of fighting game- all women, not overly complex, still lots of depth)
Trials Rising (because, well... I love Trials)
Pokémon Let's Go (the first Pokémon game to ever truly excite me)
Team Sonic Racing (along with Mario Kart 8, the two best cart racers playable anywhere with anyone)

Of course, I'm also getting V-Rally, Pillars of Eternity 2, Crash Bandicoot Trilogy, SNK Collection, My Hero One's Justice, Ark Survival Evolved, PixArk, Victor Vran, De Blob, Titan Quest, Little Dragons Cafe, Code of Princess, etc.
