I'm pretty sure Pikmin 4 already released. It was titled Hey! Pikmin and was on the 3DS.

They have stated Hey! Pikmin was not Pikmin 4 and not the Pikmin being referred to as "nearly complete" back in 2015.

I thought so too, but Miyamoto said Pikmin 4 is a different game.

@JaxonH meh, I don't think most people care about the handheld part for a game like this. You will still need good internet, i.e not hotel room. And Nintendos online is a joke among gamers. If they had added a Sim card you would have had a point, but they didn't.

Joke is a strong work and doesn't really mean much.

Nintendos online works. The only thing that's really subpar is the lack of voice chat but the majority of people who play online either do so without voice chat or are willing to do so without voice chat, especially if it means being able to play when they go on a trip or when they go to somebody else's house.

People care about the handheld part for any game, whether it be this or anything else. Adults especially. Especially those who travel a lot on business and bring their switch with them to play.

Hotel internet works fine. Hell, even hotspot via your phone will work. I've played Splatoon 2 that way.

Your mistake is tthinking just because there's a bunch of PS4 and X1 gamers who act like they're in an exclusive club, that they represent the entirety of the gamership at large and that's simply not true.

About E3 presentation:
Not as many games as a year ago (Smash took majority of time), fine by me cause have still even 3DS games that need to be finished.

At least the Smash isn't a port. Thank god.

Nintendo's E3 Direct got hijacked by the Smash patch notes lol. I was extremely hype for Smash and there was a lot of interesting stuff in there, and Nintendo can't help that a lot of it got leaked. But I think the Smash portion went on just a liiiiiittle too long and its release date is later than I was hoping so B, 87/100.

Yeah... There just wasn't much to this conference. I don't want to be negative because SSB looks pretty good... But where was Animal Crossing? =(

@JaxonH the narrative matters. I mean, it isn't just PS4 and Xbox players complaining about online, it is also long time Nintendo fans. Or haven't you heard all those people complaining about drops? Or all that try and justify the online sub with "less disconnects"? The voice sub debacle just reinforced the narrative that Nintendo doesn't understand online.

Most hotels are not fine. They are usually very choked, especially in the evening. Not even here in Sweden, where we usually have good internet is it good. It is better to use my phone in most cases.

Yes. But "people complaining" doesn't mean nobody in the entire world wants to play Fortnite on Switch.

Yes, people complain. And they should. But that doesn't change the fact you can play games online on the system. Complaints or not. People complained about no external drives on PS4 too. Didn't stop them from buying and playing PS4

Smash dragged on to much. Couldn't they have fleshed out some other game a bit?

I am disappointed Fe was pushed back to -19.

Without smash it was quite weak I think. Not many heavyweight games.

As for the e3 Direct...

It was OK... I guess. The one thing that saved it was Fire Emblem. Lots of great games coming- without question, but only one single game shown that we didn't know about already (Daemon X Machina).

Clearly the leaks were true (Fortnight, Dragonball Fighter Z, Overcooked 2), so where the heck was Star Fox Grand Prix??? Especially with Star Fox featuring in StarLink, you just know they're promoting the IP for a new game. And Retro HAS to have something ready. So where the heck is it?!!! Did they purposely delay announcement to throw people off and announce later in the year? Or if it's 2019, maybe announce in Nov along with Fire Emblem details and some 3rd party games (like DOOM and Wolf2 last year).

And where the heck is Pikmin 4? Where's Mario Maker 2? Where's Animal Crossing?

Then again, they DID say "2018 titles". Maybe they truly meant it. 2019 is a blank slate. So that means the fall Direct has to be packed, because we know nothing about 2019 (aside from Fire Emblem, Pokémon and possible Metroid Prime 4 and Bayonetta 3).

They didn't even show Yoshi for goodness sakes.

On the bright side, there's a lot of great Switch games on the way this year. From Paladins, Fortnite and Hollow Knight kicking it off right now to Captain Toad and Mario Tennis Aces, to Dark Souls and Monster Hunter, Shining Resonance, Valkyria Chronicles 4 and Tales of Vesperia, to Wolfenstein 2, Smash and Octopath Traveller, Crash Trilogy, SNK Heroines, No More Heroes, Mutant League Football, Starlink with Starfox (so cool), Mega Man 11 and X Collection, Team Sonic Racing, Pokémon Lets Go, Pillars of Eternity 2, The World Ends With You, V Rally... and probably more I'm forgetting. De Blob, Victor Vran, Little Dragons Cafe, Warriors Orachi 4, Yoshi... ya. Plenty of games this year.

And we are at least starting to form a picture of 2019. Fire Emblem Three Houses in Spring, Pokémon in fall, with (hopefully) Metroid Prime 4, Bayonetta 3, SMTV, Dragon Quest XI and DQ Builders 2 in between.

That Fire Emblem though. MY GOODNESS. It's exactly how I always imagined! Shame it's not coming til Spring, but that's better than a vague 2019 window that ends up being December of next year.

This was, as unfortunately expected, disappointing. Like wow, that was....average.

Smash looks good though.
