Why does everything have to be wired? It doesn't help if you're playing tabletop mode for these things to always be wired.
That's a major milestone, really. It means Switch isn't losing ground. It's retained the support it received launch year. That's really important, since Nintendo has historically struggled to retain support from AAA developers.
It can only go up from here. This officially means Switch will, at worst, retain the same level of support going forward. It won't be losing anything. But in all likelihood it will mean more games as we move forward. If they have enough faith in the platform to continue status quo support, then they likely have enough faith in the platform to leverage it for additional sales via other games.
NHL on Switch would be killer. I love hockey games. I really do. I used to drop acid and binge play NHL 2003 on PS2 all night with my friend. So many trails following the puck (wow). I would get in the zone for like 8 solid hours at a crack, just playing EA Sports hockey nonstop. I loved that game. I could tell so many stories from back in the day...
Anyways, great news about Pocket Rumble. When is Nintendo's e3 Direct again? Is it next week Tuesday? What time? I need to get ready here.

Honestly they should just release the game everywhere. But Capcom EU seems very...risk averse. Like there are things that don't even get physical releases on Switch that HAVE sold well here. It's quite perplexing and certainly lends to that branch having some lack of direction going forward beyong Street Fighter.

There must be some cost associated with releasing physical for each territory. That and some really small sales numbers physically from the region.
I would say Capcom is already a smidge tepid about physical Switch releases, regardless of region, due to cost of cartridges (Okami HD isn't even getting physical in NA, both Mega Man Collections have second compilation as a download, RE Revelations Collection has RE Revelations 2 as a download, etc). But then you toss in the higher cost of carts with lower expected sales numbers in a region like Europe, and it compounds the issue. It's also quite possible that, the more cartridges they purchase for a title the cheaper they get them for. So in regions where sales will be substantially lower, the cost per unit goes up. That and the fixed costs of releasing at retail is dispersed over a lower number of copies, also adding to higher cost per unit.
I have noticed other companies avoiding retail releases in EU though, and not just on Switch but 3DS before it.
I guess, at the end of the day, I'd just be grateful for region free, and take advantage to the uttermost. Perhaps even wait until there's 2-3 games you need to import and do it all at once to save on shipping.
Thanks to the strong US dollar versus the Euro, I was able to import Little Nightmares for $36 shipped from Amazon France. That's $6-7 cheaper than it would have cost here in my own country after taxes, even with free shipping. Granted, I could have used GCU for a discount but, even then, I only paid $3 more in comparison, and that's without a discount and shipping over the Atlantic Ocean!
I'm pretty sure the £ is strong against the US $ right now, so you should leverage the livin heck out of that.

Problem is until I find employment here in the middle of absolutely nowhere, I'm on £246 a month, so the fact that the game itself would be (Very minimally) cheaper, is offset by shipping it out here, at least in this case, because Gamestop exclusivity. With Amazon, less of an issue.
Though the more expensive a game is, the more I want to import. For instance here, BOTW is £60. That's $80! But a more standard £50 game is only $67.

Well, the game isn't exclusive to GS, just the amiibo edition.
But.
You could import the game from Amazon (or better yet, have someone with GCU/Prime order it for you to save even more money) and import the amiibo separately from Japan. You definitely need an Amazon Japan account set up with payment and address saved. I used to use Tenso as a 3rd party forwarding service from Amazon JP for items that wouldn't ship to the US, but now it seems most of their products do ship overseas. Even the Mythra 1/7 scale statue I was able to preorder on Amazon JP with global shipping. Although sometimes the price they charge for shipping is a little much. Other times it's extremely fair. Kind of hit and miss.

Keep an eye on this listing. The amiibo preorders sold out- now it's just 3rd parties price gouging, but it will come back in stock at some point, even if it's around the time of the games release or a bit after. Could be before then though, who knows.

That made me laugh. I used to do the same but with the original EA Hockey on Megadrive 10 years previous. One vivid memory was playing Super Off Road Racer on the NES in 91 after drinking some mushroom tea. Was one of the funniest experiences ever.
The eShop has FINALLY been updated to improve visibility.
There's now a "Featured" tab. The best sellers tab now shows the Top 30 and can be changed to show digital only titles (which is good for filtering out the big 1st party titles!). Also the new releases tab goes further back before the View All button shows up.
@Knuckles-Fajita Okay, the UK eShop does that tab a lot better than the US one does. The US eShop just provides a list of titles without a reason why they're there. Still a decent mix of titles there though!
