^just saying that it's the 8-bit version promised on Kickstarter:
"Inti Creates announced the new title at BitSummit today. Believe it or not, itโs arriving in just a couple of weeks on May 24. It features four playable characters, multiple endings, and more.
The sword-swinging exorcist Zangetsu, the whip-wielding heroine Miriam, the magic using alchemist Alfred, and Gebel, who can turn into a bat and take to the skies.
Finally, you can experience multiple endings depending on how you interact with the characters you meet."
And if you are a backer with $28+ tier, you can get this version for free
Um, guys....
I got a leaked Yokai Watch 4 Switch logo from another website.
But, to tell you if you will gonna disappointed because when i saw that , it broke my heart.
The Next Yokai Watch will be Eerie, Creepy and Darker. No more Kawaii Yokai.
@Octane
Don't say like that !
That's very rude to say kiddies / babies doesn't deserve on Nintendo Switch.
I had investigated Yokai Watch 4 that was based on its anime Yokai Watch Shadow. It looked Darker but still Tolerable for audiences, maybe not really for younger kids.
But by saying the games for real mature peoples, not for babies was hurting my feeling. Don't you know how i was quite broken heart when i realized that Yokai Watch 4 was ?? It was like you exposed my broken heart with painful words to say.
Please.... don't say like that again.
The one roadblock theyd have is Sony would need to make their next system a downgrade to make it hybrid. Nintendo held back in the soec race and thus was able to make it an upgrade in spec.
Sony would have to do a 1080 for their consumers to pull this move.

I think he was ironic. But I don't think it is that much darker based on that image, we will see.
@YummyHappyPills I agree with you, Sony couldn't possibly create a console hybrid that matches anywhere near the power of the PS4. However, as also stated in the video, it will be several generations before that is likely something that is feasible, which makes me wonder how Nintendo aim to keep the system relevant power wise for 10 years. DF says upping the RAM and GPU can easily be done using the dock but it will always use the same CPU which will cause problems.

As I've said in multiple threads, eventually all of the consoles will be hybrid devices like the Switch. It's an inevitability. The problem with the above video is that they're assuming a 1-3 year window. Frankly nothing is going to change much in that short a period of time. We're mid cycle, both Sony and Nintendo are perfectly happy where things are at. But when this console cycle ends I think all bets are off.
It is true that a "next gen" Switch isn't currently possible. But that's true of any new piece of hardware. However strange it may seem to our 2018 brains being used to the 2018 landscape of console hardware, things change. In five years there's no reason why Sony couldn't, in theory, release a portable PS4. One that is fine with 1080p on the big screen but can run games as well as the launch PS4 on the go. Maybe they don't, maybe they double down on 4K with even higher resolution everything. But maybe they don't.
I see Sony more doubling down on VR and 4K. VR has a lot of potential, but it needs the software to back it up and if there's more effort in making VR awesome and less hassle-free, I can see it exploding in popularity.

Please let me know before you send me a FC request, thanks.
It was interesting to hear their thoughts on the possibility of a dock expansion for the Switch...but when they say that 'even with a boosted dock, a marvel like DOOM would still run at 30fps' - it makes me wonder what the point would be?
Sure, Nintendo have dabbled in slightly improved hardware iterations in the past (eg. New 3DS) - but is there going to be all that much demand for a product that can only offer minor visual improvements to your existing hardware? - I'm not convinced...instead, I think we're far more likely to see different form-factors (ie. Switch Mini) than any hardware overhauls from the Big N (at least in the short to mid-term)
(Very interesting vid - thanks for sharing, @electrolite77 )
@YummyHappyPills Yeah that's really something I never thought about. Besides Nintendo, unless it's a dedicated handheld (which I know Sony isn't going to attempt again) we won't be seeing hybrid systems for a while until batteries improve. I think the battery life is one of the major things that are holding the Switch back in terms of power.
@KaiserGX Battery tech hasnt evolved in a very long time but interestingly we see what happens if you out too much in a small space. It just...explodes.
More juice needs more space and more space means less of a hybrid.

@skywake When people talk about a portable PS4, how is that going to work? x86 architecture in a portable device? Change to RAM? But at that point it's a different system and won't run any of the PS4 games anymore. Digital only too? It's a neat idea on paper, but I think there are too many hurdles for it to become reality.
@KaiserGX Batteries won't really improve. The materials are different, but the concept is over 200 years old. Sure, they can maybe improve efficiency a bit more or performance, but we've basically hit the ceiling in terms of what is possible with the technology, unless you want people to carry around miniature explosives. The fact that lithium-ion batteries have to be built with a fail-safe in case it leaks says enough.
It's either technology that needs to improve and become more efficient (and we're looking at a ceiling here as well), or we need a true breakthrough in either of those areas. Which could be quantum computers, but that's a can of worms you don't want to open yet, or some new kind of technology that allows you to store energy safely and efficiently.
Was a good video by DF. When you hear someone say the switch should have matched the PS4 please always direct them to that video. It's simply not possible and what Nintendo have achieved with the switch is a technical marvel. The power consumption is so low.
Glad DF explained that battery technology is not ready for PS4 power hybrid as some people still don't understand this concept.
As for Sony and MS going down the hybrid route.. nah not a chance.
Like I have said before. Sony doubling down on power hands the console market back to MS. Sony know exactly where they are successful and that is by winning the home console power race.
Nintendo have created a market which won't have any direct competitors.
