Topic: Unable to play it offline

Hey, can anyone help me?

I've been trying to play my switch offline, but now every time I try to open the game it asks for internet connection. It was never like this. Now I can only play at home. What should I do?

If the games are Required Online connection such as Fortnite / Paladin / Arena of Valor, you have to subscribe $20 for Nintendo Online Srtvice, so you can play them Online.

Awww, Anti-Matter! Why spoil my fun? I was curious to see if this person was attempting to play an online-only game offline.

You can play fortnite without nso.

Just to add, any free to play game can go online to play, it's paid games (Splatoon, Mario Kart etc) which require you to have a subscription.

Make sure you have your system activated, then make sure you aren't trying to play a network only game.

You don't have to activate anything online with switch. As long as its an offline game and it doesn't require a patch, you can play fully offline.
Doom I know prompts to connect but you can just click cancel

This means of possible problems.
1. Switch needs to update-you haven't update it in some time.
2. Game needs update before playing-some require this before it let's you play
3. Your game is only Online play or you choose the wrong settings-your home WiFi only not outside of that.
4. Create your Mobile HotSpot for Switch to connect to play Online.
4. Just plain Trolling when the Switch most likely tells you want you need to do-more info is removed and not told to us.

I'm having the same issues with trying to play South Park the fractured but whole and it's saying my towelie dlc needs internet connection. I found that if you load your game before you leave your house you can then play it offline however you can't close your game or turn off your switch otherwise you can get back on the game without internet connection
