@Pocket Have you seen the nintendo support page for ACNH island transfer? Just making sure you know it's a resource. It's still a bit to digest, though, I know.

How to Transfer an Island to a New Nintendo Switch System (Animal Crossing: New Horizons)
https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a...

Your game save data (your island) is tied to your nintendo account/email address. The only way to access your exisitng game save data & your island on the new switch is with your same nintendo account. (Nintendo ecosystem doesn't permit transferring game save data or digital purchases from one nintendo account to another. That's to prevent game-hacking and giving away digital purchases.)

Are you trying to have two consoles, or getting rid of the old console?

(forgive the editing. I reworded some things to make it easier to understand.)

Hi @WoomyNNYes I want to keep the old console because it has some games... and i want separate my island to a new console, so the new switch will have my island only ... old console for various games and the new one just for island ...

I tried to contact the support service but they seemed to be very busy they asked me to wait longer and i don't know where to get clear and simple answers

My friends suggested me to join this forum so i may find clear and simple answers

Yeah ... i find your answers very clear and simple ... thanks

Please bear with me

@Pocket The answer depends on a few ifs.

Unfortunately, nintendo's system puts limitations on having two consoles. You may want to watch this video I'm pasting. As far as I've seen, this is a decent video on having more than one Switch console. I can't recall seeing a better video on the subject. (Thankfully you can click the video settings to play at a faster speed. Love that function<3)

The above video will cover much of what I type below. This was my wording before I decided to paste the Wulff Den video above. What follows may be redundant to the Wulff Den video.

If you have two consoles with your account on them, one console is your "primary" console, and the other will be your "non-primary" or secondary console. Nintendo support has page discussing the differences.
https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a...

One issue here is, this primary + non-primary system has to sync game saves between both consoles to prevent game save conflicts. If you have switch wifi on, only one console can be used at a time. Depending on how you use your consoles, some people run into the limitations, and get very disappointed (make nintendolife account and thread asking why can't I use both consoles at once). edit: Another issue is Nintendo doesn't want people pirating sharing digital games with other people/consoles. Since the the Switch is portable, they are a bit more strict. With playstation/xbox, they're big boxes/$500 USD, people usually only buy one per household, and they don't take them to their friend's houses. This is just the logic behind Nintendo, I'm not saying everyone loves it. /edit.

Now, as long as you NEVER try to use BOTH consoles at the same time, then you might be ok. My initial reaction, is to recommend not using more than one console. Doesn't mean you can't do it.

See if that Wulff Den video above gets you up to speed. Let me know if you have any other questions. I won't pretend I know everything. Occasionally, someone else on the forum will say you can use two consoles, but there are some compromises. It depends on whether or not they are deal breakers for you.
