What do you think about there being a port of Tokyo Mirage Sessions for Switch? It was underrated and I believe it could get some much wanted attention on Switch. Better still, release new content as a 'Deluxe' version not unlike the one seen with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Yeah, this and Paper Mario: Color Splash are the ones that came too late to Wii U, at least for me, so I'd be happy if they'd re-release them on Switch. However, I don't know if it's possible with Tokyo Mirage Sessions, because of second-screen-gameplay. But Nintendo managed to get rid of that great feature in Zelda: BotW, Splatoon 2, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, so I hope they can find a solution for TMS too.
Nintendo sometimes gives us things we didn't expect but TMS would not be on top of Nintendo's list of games to port over. I think we should just be happy with its WiiU release
@Yasaal
The game bombed hard, specially in Japan where if I'm not wrong, it didn't break the 100k barrier.
Plus, even IF it was ported, and that's a big if, I seriously doubt they would include any extra content like MK8D. Atlus's internal teams have moved on to new projects, like SMT HD and the remake of Strage Journey. They probably won't be interested in adding content to a failed project.
That said, its a shame. Word of mouth killed the game before release and after that, when they realized the game was actually good, the damage was done. I think it will become an underrated gem, like a lot of Gamecube games.
@xPH03N1Xx86 I own it but never came around to actually play it for more than the first two hours. I think the censorship of chapter (2, I think it was) in combination with my ... strong lack of enthusiasm for everything WiiU (or as I like to call it PiiU) killed it for me. If it was on PS4 and was ported to Switch, I'd get the japanese version. Not that I am angry about not seeing Tsubasa in a bikini in-game but the entire meaning of that chapter has been destroyed because of these changes. I am a-okay with censorship that keeps the theme and topic of a game intact but this had gone too far imho.

@SKTTR Ya I thought about the second screen problem too but as you said it was removed from the other games and implemented for the Switch too so it's likely TMS can get that treatment too. But it all comes down to Nintendo if they wanna make it then they will otherwise fans might have to request for a port.

@Luna_110 Well I agree that it bombed hard in many places including Japan but I'd like to blame it on the Wii U's minimal sales. Almost every game suffered from this. The all-round games like Mario Kart and Splatoon sold well but not to that extent due to the Wii U's poor install base. So this also mean that niche games like TMS suffered too. Niche games already have a small installment but that shrunk further down due to the aforementioned sales problem. I believe if Nintendo releases it for the Switch it might get some much needed attention.
(Fingers crossed for NGC VC ports too!)

Nope, not happening. TMS failed for many reasons, only one of which was the fact that it was on Wii U. That the game bombed in Japan where the Wii U sold pretty well makes it all but certain Nintendo will never bother with this game. It's too super niche --- frankly, there's a better chance Nintendo would re-print Fatal Frame V than this one. There are also a slew of Wii U games Nintendo would rather port or make available for dl before it ever gets to this one.
I doubt it; whilst we have entered a realm where ports are considered are becoming ever more popular, this was too much of a niche game with fairly low sales. Atlus has now tasted success with Persona 5 and is likely to want to follow on from that. They also have the new SMT to deal with for Switch.
Secondly, Nintendo was involved due to the FE characters and they are unlikely to want to offer much help for a game that didn’t sell too hotly.
I loved the game, but this is definitely one that is likely to remain glied to its original system much like several exclusives on the Jaguar and 3DO.
I would normally say never gonna happen but I think SMT V sales will play a bit into this. If it sells well Atlus may try to get more of its titles quickly on the system and since FE# is already on the wiiu it should be an easier port.

I doubt a port would happen simply because of how heavily the Gamepad was used. A lot of work would have to be done to compensate for the lack of it on the Switch.
I'd rather have a sequel that fixes the foibles and misfires of the first game, and is a stronger, more overt synthesis of themes and elements from FE and SMT anyway. Only time will tell if the rumors from a couple years ago prove true or not.
Happily a port is happening, I hope it does well. I never had a Wii U. So I’m really happy that after 3 years we’re finally getting an Atlus game on Switch.

YES I was so happy to see a definitive edition was confirmed. I just can't wait for more people to give the game a shot and give it the attention it deserves.
