Even disregarding the amoral thing, I don't buy the argument that the dress devalues his character. It's intended to be a lighthearted, humourous take on the material. It's not like photoshopping Obama in a dress. It's like Obama playing footage of The Lion King as his "birth video" as a joke.
But on the other hand, Link in a dress is kind of troubling for a different reason. The reason is that male crossdressing is still seen as a "joke" in mainstream media. Man in a dress? Funny! Never to be taken seriously. That, along with the director's comments that "lol only boys can be heroes stupid, that's why there's no girls allowed in my cool game for boys" comment, tells me that Nintendo might have some growing to do.
and i hope it never will be taken seriously, theres only two situations where men wearing girl clothes in public is ok, 1. theyre forced into because they need to play the spy in a location where only females can get around inconspicuously, or 2. theyre really girls in a boys body. and link is a determinately effeminate man, but hes not a woman trapped in a mans body so seeing link in a dress, is like seeing an old man in a banana hammock. you want to claw your eyes out and burn your brain to ash.
now back to the main topic at hand, how big do you think hyrule will be in zelda wii U? im thinking skyrim size, and weve only been shown one part of the map, im willingto be theres also a sea portion to mimic windwaker, and a sky portion to mimic skyward sword. so it could e even bigger than what we think we cant imagine, any thoughts or comments?

It's just a piece of fabric, dude. It doesn't have a gender. We call a dress "girl clothes" because, I dunno, a couple hundred years of marketing and advertisement has made it a cultural thing. I wouldn't wear a dress, but I don't generally let Wal-Mart commercials tell me what inanimate objects are or aren't evil.
Some people like to wear dresses. Some of them are male. It's not a big deal.
Also,
theyre forced into because they need to play the spy in a location where only females can get around inconspicuously
Peeping in women's locker room confirmed moral use of a dress and wig.
im not saying its evil, im saying its wrong to do in public, and obviously being a peeping tom wouldnt be something a hero would do. now youre just misusing the meaning of subterfuge.
And we're done here. Let's change the topic now -Lz
@Nicolai: I don't think it is wrong or immoral, I don't think that it was necessary (and my comment wasn't specifically about Link wearing a dress).
You'll notice that I tagged keife191 in my comment, too. That part where I disagreed about the immortality of the matter, I was speaking directly to him.
As does mine; cold, analytical—wholly self-satisfied—moral, but with deep character flaws and beautiful, straight, black hair.
Well maybe not that last one...
It's kind of cheating when the author includes "omniscience" as one of your character traits.
What's the opposite of dramatic irony? When characters know things that the audience didn't because "they're so smart!" when really it's just the author rigging the game in his favour.
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
Some random dude on Nintendo Life.
Toriel left for a while, so Freaky Fred took over her place!
Not changing this part of the signature until Nintendo announces Super Mario Sunshine 2.
