Well, Zelda U Link looks like the most expressive adult Link so far.

Im thinking its really lame that there not using the artstyle from the zelda u tech demo video

I'd say you're right, based on that scene where Link aims with his bow, and squints in one eye to aim. I hope the cutscenes in the game are like that.

Does anyone know of a list that tracks all of the Zelda melodies that get remixed and sampled into future soundtracks? It confuses me trying to figure it out, honestly...

Zelda U Link looks awesome, though as it was early footage, the design is likely to change. :/ Personally, my favorite adult version is TP Link.

Hyrule Warriors is best Link design. It should be used WAY more.

Toon Link (from Wind Waker) is the best Link

Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask Link are a bit too flat and jpg-y for my tastes, Wind Waker is the same but with more than two expressions, and Skyward Sword Link looks like a horrific plastic trash monster posing as a person.

In terms of faces I like Twilight Princess for a fiercer, sharp-featured Link and Zelda U for the softer, gettin-real-androgynous-up-in-here end of the spectrum. Zelda U Link seems to be a good mix of the expressive Wind Waker animations, but on a 3D model (and not horrifically plastic).

In terms of dress Ocarina of Time was basic, while Majora's Mask at least added a strap to hold Link's sword. Wind Waker was kinda-sorta chibi. Twilight Princess added some detail—and believability in the form of chainmail and bracers—to the armor. In Skyward Sword Link had blue cuffs. Zelda U Link brought back the bracers, has a lot of nice visual detail in his equipment, is blue, and, for some reason, wears two belts. Actually, I know the reason; one's for his quiver and the other for his nondescript pouch.

Man, Link has fingerless gloves!? Never noticed that...

I can't really tell the difference between TP Link and SS Link. Aside from the puffy clothes from SS.

Twilight Princess Link is made of early 3D while Skyward Sword Link is made of plastic. It's all about the colors, but Skyward Sword Link just looked like a mannequin to me 0_0

His scarf really annoys me and is only behind pink haired Link for my least favourite design.

I like the scarf design, even if it had literally no reason to exist.

That's what bugs me about it, it's there just to be different for the sake of being different. If it had been a cape I might of liked it more as it would haved showcased Link as a hero even if they are both really a rubbish fashion accessory.

Zelda U is the best Link design I've seen so far, but for games that are actually released, yeah Hyrule Warriors is fantastic.

I don't see anything wrong with Skyward Sword Link... Though I guess I can understand your point. I like all of the Link designs very much. I think my least favorite would have to be the Link Between Worlds Link.

Well that's just because they obviously didn't think doing a detailed model from side-angles was worth it for the <5 minutes that it would be needed in that game. It barely counts as a character design. It's more of a visual placeholder
