No...? Dude, a lot of people already bought PS4s. No one would blink if Nintendo dropped off of the face of the earth for a year again.
Make no mistake, there is plenty of room for Nintendo to capture an audience that has not yet bought into current gen.
I mean, if you're content to talk past me that's your business, but the fact remains that that still isn't my point.
You can argue that no one would notice if Nintendo disappeared if you want, but you'd have to ignore that they have the best selling exclusive content of the generation to do that. Splatoon has already outsold every PS4 and XB1 exclusive. They're also still technically the market leader this generation, but in admitting that, you'd have to acknowledge that the 3DS is a thing that exists and I know how painful that would be for you.
Persona 5, Kingdom Hearts 3, Final Fantasy XV and Final Fantasy 7 remake will all destroy Splatoon in sales, my brother.
kimishima says there are more unannounced wii u and 3ds games coming this year twilight princess hd?
The NX is going to be delayed to Holiday 2017 you heard it here first, also It should be pretty obvious what my favorite game of all time is cough Skyward Sword cough
@TheMonadoSenpai: It seems way too late in the year to announce Twilight Princess HD if it's coming out this year. Maybe they'll announce a retail game, but eShop games seem more likely.
@Blast: Has any Persona game sold even close to Splatoon's current sales? That game has no chance of outselling Splatoon. Those other games will probably outsell it, but Splatoon can only sell more as time goes on. Honestly, it wouldn't be a big shock to see it at least outsell Kingdom Hearts 3.

I sit on the opposite end.
Persona is too bland for me. Kingdom Hearts is dead once it oversaturated the plot. Final Fantasy can go hug a cactus after the abomination that was FF XIII. FF VII is just...meh. I didn't really care for it.
Zelda on the other hand is always my favorite series. Zelda U will make me care less about the PS4
Current games: Everything on Switch

first mistake: don't read IGN. don't link to IGN. it doesn't help you
secondly, are you even serious dude. the sony fat cats made an absolute failure of a unit, label it a "legacy system" to try and cover their butts somehow, and it works! young people like you defend them and go "hey, actually the PS Vita wasn't competition, they said so, it's just a legacy device lol". that's like what Nintendo did after the Gamecube, saying they weren't in competition with the other two.... only Nintendo were actually telling the truth and released a totally different "Revolution" of a console next - Sony on the other hand are just brainwashing you with PR, i can't believe that stuff works on you, "it's not in competition it's a legacy system" lol. that should only work on the worst, simplest sony fanboys.

Hahaha!!! Yeah totally disagree with everything you said and that's okay. I dont think Nintendo IPs are king. I don't love Zelda that much. Not more than a JRPG series I love. I'm not even expectating much from Zelda U anymore. A well made trailer can change that though.
It's not not a competitor because Sony made a PR statement. The Vita is not a competitor anymore because they stopped making first party and other people stopped making third party games for it.
And IGN reports on the same PR statements as all of the other news sites. That's how news works.
Yeah, Haru isn't really trying to defend the Vita. He's clearly saying it's no competition for the 3ds.
Not because it's some kind of superior system (as in, more than just a portable gamig system), it's just that it simply has no chance of competing agaisnt it. Sony gave up on it.
yea it was an utter failure so they stopped supporting it and labelled it a legacy device. glad we got that sorted. the 3DS absoutely slayed it like the DS and the PSP before - they didn't learn from their lessons then.

PlayStation Vita isn't a failure... Sales wise, its bad but it still has great games. Surely, us Wii U owners can understand how it feels to own something that deserves better sales, hmmmm? In other words, give the Vita a break.
@Blast: no i wont give the vita a break on a nintendo forum, why don't you say the same thing about people being hysterical over nintendo's sales? jeez the first time you break sony's balls and people jump all over it, but every day you're all on nintendo like you hate them!

PSP, are you serious? 80+ million sales isn't something to laugh at. Yes, the DS sold almost twice as much, but 80 million hardware units is not bad in any way, shape or form.
And by your logic Nintendo might as well stop producing home consoles.
About Twilight Princess HD coming this year... I still can't imagine how that would be possible. I know there are still more games coming this year, but I'm expecting the likes of Project Guard, not an HD remaster of one of the best selling Zelda games. Wind Waker took (hopefully) less work, and even that game got a physical release, they even charged full price and the game even got its own bundle. I just can't see Twilight Princess HD ending up as a silent eShop release.

No, by his logic we should all be washing amiibo with milk and honey, burning incense, and circumambulating them while we contemplate God (Nintendo—duh) and the universe.

I still wouldn't assume this early that Project Guard is a simple budget project. Remember after E3 2014, when everyone thought Splatoon, Treasure Tracker, and Mario Maker didn't look "fleshed-out" enough for a physical release, and assumed they were download only? Some games only seem to lack depth because we haven't seen how deep it can go yet.
I think the only reason they'd release Twilight Princess as digital is for the sake of getting it out by Christmas. That way they can keep polishing it right up to the last moment.
That would also explain why they haven't announced it yet.
