If I ever need help sleeping, I could just play Morrowind or Skyrim for 20 minutes. Load up the game, walk from one town to the next, and be out like a light.
Well, yeah; it's not CoD. A game like that so focused on developing a realistic fantasy world is very slow. Wandering through the wilderness, listening to ambient sounds and music is very calming. I've fallen asleep (or at least lulled into drowsiness) during dozens of late nights with Skyrim.
Those games aren't for everyone, but it's all of the other, lesser open world games that truly bore me.

On the contrary, it would appear as though they are for everyone. Skyrim sold 20 million copies and now everything, by law, must be an open world action RPG.

Everything like what? Witcher and Dragon Age were already ARPGs and no other big open world games are really RPGs.

What if the overworld is one giant dungeon? Worth the dungeon sections linked up ala Mega Man legends/64? The connections to the other sections are there but require a specific ability or item to use the shortcut?

We already know it's not, though. It hopefully has gateing somewhere, but it looks like an open world to me. It seems to have an even lower frequency of overworld puzzles than Twilight Princess.

Even if Nintendo's trying to adapt Hyrule to fit a more Skyrim-sized world, I'm betting you there'll be a warp mechanic. Heck, The Wind Waker had a fairly large ocean that took some time to sail from one end to another and that game featured a warp. So I think I'd be happy if they did make something like a large world. It would allow them to create a Hyrule Field that potentially wasn't just a lot of empty space with only a running man, Kaepora Gaebora on occasion and stalchildren at night. And I'm sure we're all aware how good Nintendo is with adding detail.
Hasn't every main series console Zelda since A Link to the Past had fast travel? (With the notable exception of Skyward Sword.) I'd imagine ZU will have it too, unless they're really pushing the horse.
Well, in skyward you can select where to land in the map and things are really close by in the sky world. It's kinda like fast traveling. Except in that one you control the magical creature that transports you.

I know that a delayed game is better than a rushed game but i know that im not the only one who would die a little inside if Zelda Wii U was delayed to 2017
