I just ran across another ZI article that states that there will be an interview in Famitsu on November 2nd that mainly focuses on Tri Force Heroes, but will include a discussion on Zelda games in development for the Wii U as well. Maybe we'll get some new info on Zelda U?
The interview will also include news about something for LoZ's 30th anniversary, which is in Q1 2016. It doesn't say what it'll be, but I'm guessing that's when we'll see the announcement for Twilight Princess HD.
Picking one of the better tracks from Skyward Sword to compare to a midi track from Twilight Princess doesn't matter. Like I said—and I always have to repeat myself to you people—Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess had THE SAME audio quality. They were both limited by the Wii's freakin' sound processor.
That doesn't follow at all. I don't know the specifics of the audio for each game but your argument is definitely flawed. It's like taking 2 images. 1 is 1000x1000px, the other is 500x500px. You take the second image and double it's width and height so it's 1000x1000px and then say "look, same image quality". Well no, the same resolution doesn't imply the same quality.
Sounds aren't comparable to images and all. You can't stare at a song; it only matters how it sounds in the moment.
This flimsy argument hasn't addressed my point of how Skyward Sword literally hurts to listen to either.

So while Skyward Sword's stuff sounds very nice on youtube (TP's does too for that matter), in the game all of those orchestral sounds do not come across well. Compared to other Zelda games Skyward Sword was the only one that made my ears physically hurt because the sounds involved were not corrected properly for the sound processor involved. Just a lot of blaring, painful noises and awful-sounding woodwinds all around.
There were less songs in Twilight Princess that sounded underwhelming to me because of being either midi or at a capped sound quality.
I don't recall any blaring or hurt ears during my last play-through of Skyward Sword. But either way, the purpose of those examples was to compare the difference between Twi Pri's 100% electronic sounds and Skyward Sword's real instrument recordings, even if Skyward Sword only uses them in some fraction of it's tracks. I'm no expert on audio quality, but Skyward Sword is simply orchestrated better. When it needs orchestra, it uses orchestra, and when it doesn't, it layers real instruments over the track when it needs to, and when it doesn't do that, it's sounds good anyway. Nothing is ever blatantly fake, like Twi Pri's Sacred Grove, which was my example above. I had worse examples to choose from, mind you. That sticks out to me way more than audio quality.

Um... you are aware of course that audio files, much like image files, have bitrate, yes? Like, there is a noticeable, discernible difference between a 128kbps MP3, a 320kbps MP3, and a FLAC file.
Disregard if this is not news to you...
Besides, the issue isn't with the Wii's audio processor. It's that TP uses a very lossy file format.
I think they will make Zelda U for both NX and Wii U, or only on the NX as things looks right now.
It seems like Wii U will only get remasters, might be because they realized they need to make a good launch title for the NX. This leaving us a remaster as some kind of compensation for not getting Zelda U.
@PaperMario64: As of now, Zelda U is still listed as a Wii U title. In a few days we'll know if that has changed as the second quarter of the fiscal year comes near an end. On numerous occasions, Nintendo has reassured that Zelda U will be a Wii U title, even after the delay. I believe that Miyamoto said so again last E3 after various rumours that the game might've been cancelled for the Wii U. The release date is still unknown, but they're pretty adamant in letting us know that it will come to the Wii U. I think it's safe to assume that Zelda U will be a Wii U title.
Nah, I'm confident that it'll end up on the Wii U. I don't think Nintendo would be that cruel as to force every Wii U owner to upgrade since alot of people mainly bought the thing for the eventual Zelda game. I definitely do see it being multi platform though.
But then again, never say never. Miyamoto did insist multiple times that both StarFox and Zelda would be out this year, and look how that ended up

They kinda have to release it on the Wii U. It wouldn't be worth the hate they'd get if they cancelled it. They already know that Wii U owners will be disappointed at the short lifespan of the console, cancelling the biggest game for it would just annoy too many people. This game is one of the main reasons a lot of us bought the console! If they DID screw us over like that, I for one would just stick to the PS4 for the rest of this gen. (I don't think that's too irrational a tantrum to throw)

That's incorrect. For the purpose of that argument, sounds are completely analogous to images. You can get an 16bit image display it on a 32bit-capable screen.
Likewise, you can get a 16bit sound and play it on a sound system capable of 32bit-quality. The quality in both cases is the former bit-depth, not the latter (unless you've implemented some kind of filtering to upgrade it)

They also said on numerous occasions that it was a 2015 game. They were very reassuring, and I felt safe knowing they were pretty adamant in that claim. After that news turned out to be false, there's little Nintendo can say that will reassure me of anything.
However, I'm still hopeful and open to the possibility of NX being released in 2017, giving Nintendo another year to work on NX and support the Wii U. I'm less sure that I used to be, but if it's true, Zelda Wii U will probably pull a Skyward Sword and be a Wii U title on it's last year of support.
Heh. What if Zelda was a older, seductive, and powerful Queen in Zelda U? Heh. Heh. Heh.
That'd be a bit creepy if Link remained a young teenage boy.
Creepy?! It's a fantasy in many manga, comics, anime, movies, songs, and real life! Heck, when I was in high school... I understand what you're saying but that's exteme.

They probably wouldn't. Princesses are usually depicted as more benevolent and innocent than queens, which is generally how they want to portray a character like Zelda.

It was creepy the way I imagined it
Hahahahaha but seriously... I totally agree with you on the creepy perspective on that. It's messed up. But on the brighter side..... Link walks in on Zelda putting on armor then....
