The 2D / Top-Down series is truly our link to the past when it comes to the traditional Zelda experience.

Looks lighter on action without the Master sword slicing and dicing, but the wand looks craftier than any wand in previous Zeldas.

The toy look is fine, it looks nice enough

I think his art style is great, they should keep the 2D games coming, I bet they could do two more in the same style before they needed to go back to the drawing board...

At least it looks like a step above Zelda's Adventure.

@Magician funny Phillips was insistent that a Zelda game feature a playable Zelda so long before Nintendo decided it was actually a good idea to do.

Had you played the CDi games?

I suspect that the Echo mechanic will give the game an open-ended sandbox feel, similar to how TOTK's Zonai devices transformed BOTW's Hyrule into more of a sandbox experience.

It looks quite daunting though, but if TOTK is any indication, finding our way around ought to be more fun than frustrating.

@NinChocolate Nope, never played any of the CD-i Zelda games.

Excited for this but where is my Link Between Worlds Switch port Nintendo? I still need to finish that game.

@Tasuki I think it’s a frustrating thing that ALBW was not moved over to their current system. I feel that game should be accessible today because it’s a very good modernization of classic Zelda and should be easy to recommend
