Looks like Nintendo updated the page to make it clearer. It now reads as "**Full version of game required to use DLC for that game. Sold separately."
Like @Polvasti said, this disclaimer was for the Gold Points you earn and has nothing to do with Tears of the Kingdom specifically. I'm sure we'll get DLC eventually, but I doubt they'll announce it until a few months after the game comes out.
Anyone seen the "Brilliant" (sarcasm there) pre-order bonuses for Tears of the Kingdom on the UK Nintendo Store?
WOW!! a coin and luggage tag (erm) and then a Medal and a Notepad (whats a solid version of a DLC?) add-ons?? (What the hell has these things have to do with Zelda games????)
Cor heck they are really pushing the boat out...[facepalm]
Just had a fun email saying that my pre-order for the collector's edition has reduced in price to £0.
So it looks like ShopTo have cancelled my pre-order... I am wondering if this has happened for anyone else, but it has made it easier for me to skip this now. Will probably get in a couple of years.
Edit: Nevermind, ShopTo have said that was in error in a follow-up email. Back to trying to decide whether I want it or not.
GAME UK has the amiibo listed for £14.99, which looks to be the cheapest price in the UK, and actually available compared to ShopTo and Amazon. https://www.game.co.uk/en/amiibo-link-tears-of-the-kingdom-29...
GAME UK have a minimum £5 delivery charge on all orders anyway, and I'm still holding out for the My Nintendo UK Store to list both the amiibo and collector's edition.
@RupeeClock thatās a risky move waiting for my Nintendo store uk. Try to get the preorder from game and if you do manage to get the pre order from Nintendo, cancel with GAME

That's a fair point, really. I'm not too concerned about getting the amiibo compared to getting the collector's edition, or even just the game.
Actually if I order the game and amiibo together, in lieu of a potential My Nintendo UK store order, that should be fine.

Good shout, here's the link. https://www.argos.co.uk/product/2075370
I'll pass on this though as it wouldn't have the bonus items My Nintendo UK Store is ordering, and I suspect the price might be a little higher.
Yeah, Iāve given up on the CE over in the States. Itās way too hard to obtain, and for the price, I just donāt think itās worth the trouble for me unfortunately. Itās nearly double the price of the game itself and I donāt really think Iām willing to pay that. So Iāll just take my normal preorder stress-free.

The CE is overpriced for what it is honestly. The contents are extremely lame compared to the BotW CE, and somehow the Gamestop Pre-order bonus is actually better than the contents of the CE. With the CE, you get an art book that already leaked and will most likely be outclassed by a standalone art book for the entire game, a set of pins, a poster, a very bland looking box, and a steelbook. The Gamestop Pre-Order nets you a wooden plank that has actual carvings in it, instead of just a poster.

I could've typed most of this post; this hits VERY close to my sentiments. I originally was gonna try for the CE. However, the rarity, price, plus stepping back to truly analyze what was on offer, made me realize I can do without. Outside of the art book - which has already leaked - I don't really need or want the rest of that stuff collecting dust. At least the GameStop preorder bonus is something outside of the norm. Still need to do that in fact; I'll likely put in an order early next month.
I managed to get a hold of the BotW Special Edition (I intentionally passed on the Master Edition; I didn't feel the extra $30 just for a plastic Master Sword was worth it) and have honestly gotten more use out of its goodies than I ever would with the less unique offerings of the TotK CE. Especially the carrying case and CD.
