This is a fairly low print run, for the Switch it'll only have 2000 standard and 800 Special Limited editions, and half as many PS4 copies.

I suspect low demand for this one, so the lower numbers make sense. 57% left as of this post. As a platformer collectathon, doesn't seem to have much replay value.

Reddit is reporting Crysis 2 has a MANDATORY 700mb download to even play the game.

Buyer beware, this is the second time this has been done in recent memory.

@Belexes Yeah, demand for Super Life of Pixel has been pretty low. I might place an order on Friday though if it's still in stock, it probably will be.

@Miadaskate Ah finally, I've been waiting for this one.

They mentioned that they're partnering with Limited Run Games, so it's likely that LRG's site will also have pre-orders in the near future.
Update: LRG is opening pre-orders today with a 4 week open pre-order window.

In other physical news, LRG will be doing a distributed release for Treasures of the Aegean next week.

Numskull published games are usually available retail in Europe.

And Record of Lodoss War will be getting both EU and US physical releases thanks to Redart Games.
Pre-orders already open.

EU orders promise an included CD and artbook for orders placed before January 1st.
The JP region release from Playism also supports English language and has been available for pre-order for a while now.

Whilst it's not a game I'm interested in, Life Is Strange True Colors is getting a physical release in February 2022.

Unfortunately it's an "Internet Download Required" release, defeating the point of such a physical.
Maybe an Asia region release will be fully on-cart, but it doesn't look like a download size has been revealed yet.

Just got my Crysis 2 copy. This one is interesting. It is distributed by LRG and it is an open pre order but it was shipped near to my purchase date. There is NO LRG logo on the box.

Awesome release nonetheless

So this thread has gotten quiet, but I just wanted to show appreciation of everyone here who has been cataloging everything for future releases, and hope everyone's collecting it still going as smooth as it can.

Mine personally keeps getting undermined by Play Asia selling out games before they can ship my whole order.

@Paraka
You mean that Play-asia aren't properly reserving stock of stuff you've pre-ordered?
That's concerning, since I've got an order awaiting shipment in February.
It's an order already paid in-full due to one particular item though, so I doubt they're going to fail to secure my stock.

But yeah the thread has gotten a bit quiet, it's not like there's a shortage of physicals, but it somewhat feels like the list of meaningful digital titles awaiting their physical release has gotten shorter.

Baba Is You still needs that physical release though.
And Dead Cells probably needs yet another physical because of the Everyone Is Here update or whatever else they push next.

@RupeeClock - Nope, mine have been paid in full too. Last stunt they pulled was with Melty Blood, only a week from the last order and suddenly receive an email stating they sold through Melty Blood.

Likewise. I have seen a Magician post in quite some time. Hope all is well and sometimes we need to take breaks.

I'm alright; been busy playing Warframe again over on PS4. Never mind the fact that Switch physical game announcements have slowed to a crawl as well. Makes me wonder if publishers are winding down Switch development and are getting ready for the next Nintendo platform? That's not to suggest the Switch is near its end, simply...winding down.

@Magician - Definitely sensing an incoming peak. But with tech being scarce, I can see a resurgence of pushing more to a widely available market.

That being said, decided to get the double packs from SEGA to confirm something over Black Friday. Sonic Mania has no download updates (so it's Plus) and TSR comes with 1.0.0 on cart like the original.

So for that, the only bonus is having two games on one cart.

Signature Edition Games, part of Merge Games, announced a new physical for an 8-bit style game called Infernax. This is another publication from The Arcade Crew who helped publish games like Blazing Chrome, and Kunai.

It looks like they're going for a simultaneous physical and digital launch, though I don't think this game will be in danger of selling out immediately like most other Signature Edition releases.
But I do think it's one to keep an eye on.

@RupeeClock I was actually just coming here to ask if this game is likely to get a western (esrb) release or not? This game looks right up my ally and I definitely want to buy it

SpaceAce13

RupeeClock

@SpaceAce13
I'm really not sure, considering it's an EU release I wouldn't need to worry about importing it like a US or JP release.
You might need to rely on using a site like shop4megastore that stocks EU imports to sell in the US, if they list any copies.
Or maybe some other US site will act as a distributor in the future?

Edit: Nevermind, we have an answer. It's gonna be LRG.

It's an open pre-order until January 2nd, so I may end up ordering an ESRB copy rather than a PEGI release due to convenience of ordering items together.

Red Art Games just announced The Procession To Calvalry. I’m unreasonably excited for this

Yes, I reckon I'll grab a copy of that myself.
It looks pretty novel to say the least.

Balan Wonderworld is hitting 15 bucks across multiple places. If you wanted that just to fill in your collection, probably a time more than ever to consider it.
