And just like that, Limited Run Games is now an official Xbox partner. I swear, if they put out that DOOM set ima be so pissed lol (but I will 100% buy it).
@Miadaskate
Funnily enough I can't see a peep about this partnership on LRG's site or Twitter, nor on LimitedRunJosh.
That is fantastic news though because Microsoft notoriously had a minimum order quantity of 10,000 units for physical manufacturing. They may be waiving that to make LRG releases possible.
Very few Xbox titles have been sold through LRG, but all distribution related before.
I'd be prepared to see waves of previous LRG releases get Xbox prints now. Not something I'll be a customer of, but still happy to see this.
I thought the minimum order for Xbox games was 50k? Anyway, yeah, the newly announcement MS / LRG partnership suggests the minimum order requirement will not only be lowered but lifted all together. I'm sure the NL resident Xbots are thrilled by that news, although like you I can't say I care much about that bit of news.
P.S. - Mary Skelter Finale and King's Bounty II are up on Shop4.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,247 games (as of April 15th, 2024)

For video game preservation in general it's a great move, I'm sure Xbox has a ton of digital games worth physically preserving including some that aren't available on other platforms.
I seem to recall the figure was 10k based on a tweet from LimitedRunJosh, but I may be misremembering. In any case, it was significantly higher than the batches of 1k units for Switch games.
I feel like the recent co-operation with Bethesda for the physical publication of DOOM games played a hand in this development, as well as getting to work with bigger companies like Konami, Ubisoft, and Universal.
An update. Just got my Japanese copy of Star Renegades. It shipped with version 1.0.0 on the cartridge, post launch patched up to version 1.0.1. I took the week off work for this game, so I'll @ you again after I've spent some time with it.
P.S. - The Japanese releases Muse Dash (music/rhythm) and Rolling Gunner (horizontal shmup) both support English and have zero post launch patching (as of this post), if anyone is curious.
P.P.S - Reached 700 in the Switch collection...again, after downsizing a lot of mediocrity out of the collection these past couple months.

Yeah I could only find it on a few pages, but it’s 100% confirmed. I’d only be buying Xbox exclusive titles, or titles from studios they acquired that I like. Everything else gets played on the Switch or the PS5.

I 100% agree with this. I also would like to think that they read this forum and saw what I wrote just a few days ago 😆
@Miadaskate
Mine arrived on Saturday. It includes a bonus sticker to commemorate Super Rare Games' 50th release, separate to the sticker each game comes with.
At long last my SRG order finally made it out of US Customs.
Hooray for progress.
P.S. - I see a Cotton collection of the Saturn games is coming soon, but considering the Japanese version of the Cotton reboot post launch patched English out (which is just a disgusting tactic, imo) I wouldn't be too quick to throw down a preorder on this newest collection. https://www.play-asia.com/cotton-guardian-force-saturn-tribut...

I've not heard of languages being patched out of a game before, but that is disgusting.
I get why they did it, because of international publishing agreements, but that doesn't make it any less wrong.
It looks like LRG are shipping standard editions of To The Moon and Shiren the Wander 5 soon.
But there was a very eye catching email from LRG today about Among Us.
It turns out that they're only doing a PC collector's edition that features a big emergency meeting button, and download codes for the game on Steam and Epic Games Store.
It doesn't include a physical game, and I'm not surprised that it doesn't due to the nature of the game as a service. It's also only for PC despite the game being available on all modern platforms.

A very nice touch!
I’m so weird; I keep my Super Rare releases in the wrapping they come with. I open the game up, but I keep them in the Super Rare packaging. I also try as best as I can to keep the sticker seal as is without tearing it.
I’m weird.

No, I’m the exact same. Haven’t done a great job keeping the seal stickers intact lately though
Sturmwind EX pre-orders opening on pixnlove.com later today, 4PM UK time about 4 hours from this post.
A Kickstarter campaign for a Zelda-like game called Elementallis launched recently, promising a physical Switch version (plus a digital copy) if you back a €55 tier. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ivanrl/elementallis/desc...
The campaign doesn't appear to clarify how they'll fulfill physical rewards though, but with an estimate of June 2022 it doesn't sound unrealistic.
The game itself looks a bit basic but heavily influenced by Link's Awakening / Oracle of Seasons / Ages on the Game Boy Color.
Yeah, only a 2k print run for Sturmwind, should sell through fairly quick.
Glad I took this week off work, without knowing this preorder was opening.
P.S. - Although UC's choices of which games to publish are still "meh", hey...at least they're attempting to be competitive. Eventually I'm sure they'll land a game that's better than mediocre. https://opencritic.com/game/10861/sword-of-the-necromancer

I think that might be Pix'n Love poorly communicating their pre-orders again.
2K appears to refer to the collector's edition, not the standard edition.
They do a really bad job of communicating things like stock availability and price before actually opening the pre-orders.
True, their communication isn't all that great. But I was thinking more about those ardent steelbook collectors. A few of those folk are going to be grumpy this afternoon once that CE sells through. I'm not big on steelbooks, but the one they've shown for Sturmwind is mighty fine.
