Sorry for double posting but I’ve been lurking here for a few weeks, since just before the Owlboy LE was announced and got super stoked and scanned through this thread for possible tips. Unfortunately as with anything else (I’ve been collecting sneakers for 7 years so I know the drill) I was not that fast.
However I managed to preorder the psychical version of Owlboy and got it today so I thought I’d celebrate with signing up here, hang out in this thread and hopefully start collecting games a bit more serious.
Anyway, just wanted to holla at you guys and tell you I’m here. I’m based out of Sweden so if anyone want a plug for some games or whatever, let me know if I can be of help - so far the collecting scene here not that big and as I’ve been noticing, a few games only releases in the EU, and maybe I can help you out with shipping or whatever.
Don’t know how you guys do it but I’m pretty schooled from the sneaker scene (like it used to be and damn I just felt like 50 year oldie talking about how great things where in the past lol) but we or at least a few of us helped each other out if we could
Looks like slime san is getting a CE judging by LRG’s latest twitter post....rip wallet
Meh, I'll get the game but pass on the CE. Doesn't look like a game I need or want the CE to. Every two weeks is ridiculous. I can afford the Standard but a CE every couple weeks? Nope. Plus the fact we are still wait for Thimbleweed Park to ship... honestly they need to chill and get out the games rather than backlog people to death. I know it's a process but still.
I'll probably focus more on NISA CE or retail versions...LRG CEs...I know they'll be a hot collectable years to come, but as it's been said, not every release needs one and unless it has something amazing, I'll just get Slimesan standard.
Looking at the Slimesan CE...yeah, the plushie looks cool, but all that other stuff...no thanks. It'll be $60-$80 and sorry that just doesn't look worth it to me at all. I'm here to collect the games first and foremost...the extra stuff is nice but not needed. I like my Harvest Moon CE I got...I like my Fallen Legion...but this? Meh.
This tweet shows the contents of the Slime-San CE. I officially give up on collecting all CEs and steelbooks.
This definitely made my decision concrete. I wanted all of the steelbooks but since it seems as though all of the LRG CEs are going to have them I’m just bailing now

The main reason I am posting that link, besides being another reference, is on this list is in the "possibly" section, there is link to fill out a form to express interest in getting Death Squared released physically (instead of just a box with code) for those who are interested.
didn't see your post mate. Thank you very much! While our thread here the OP has nice pictures, I like this one being compact and alphabetical. Cheers and thanks. someone here posted about the death squared thing already and I cast my vote. I'd like to see them just do a real true blue release. I don't consider their boxes a real physical release(that requires an actual game), but the more the merrier and they seemed passionate enough to sign 500 times and go through the process to promote their game, so you know they are doing it as a labour of love.
What do you mean, "What do you mean?"? Are you talking about Owlboy? I just checked my play-asia order, and it says: Estimated shipping date: On or before 07/13/18
I had this on my spreadsheet as a May 29th release - but sadly, that doesn't seem so! Although, it does seem (based on some of the other replies in here) that people have gotten theirs, so now I don't know what to think!!!!
Time for @MrCIB to speak up, and let me know what he knows! LOL!!! Did you order yours through play-asia or from somewhere else? Did you get yours??? This is my first (and so far, only) order through play-asia - do they have a history of just accepting orders they can't fulfill and then later cancel (I will be QUITE displeased, if this is the case!!!!!!)???
Did you get a special "prime" price with it, by ordering through Amazon? Do you have GCU with Best Buy? Maybe you can return it to Amazon (they're usually REALLY good about accepting returns)? I just ordered my copy through Best Buy, and it specifically states:
*Includes a game card for Mega Man Legacy Collection, download code for Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 and Mega Man 30th Anniversary Cleaning Cloth
Yes; I pre-ordered months ago. I received a prime discount, and it even states in the description that a cloth is included with every copy purchased at retail, while supplies last. I have GCU, but I prefer Amazon because their shipping is faster and more reliable. I’ve already opened it and downloaded Legacy 2. I’ll just look for the cloth on eBay.

LOL it's always been 7/13 which I found odd but I think they did so because the LE was not apart of the original plan and they tried to capitalize on the hot LE market.
Just a random question, how do you guys collect your games (switch)? Do you try to get the whole collection of every game released physically or just the ones you like/want due to the LE stuff? Or the print run on how many will be released?

I myself am trying to go for all games released physically. But I'm not paying any attention to LE/CE unless it's a mainline Nintendo game or a game I want super badly.
