@MrCIB that’s crazy. Cause surprisingly. Checked around 3am or so and didn’t see it there
Posted around 4:30 am est........... I know amazon restocks at times but in this case it might be unlikely.
Yea. If anything I’d want it through Best Buy if they get it there just for the discount. Luckily I did buy it through videogamesplus.ca. Seems to be the cheapest so far and is still available on that site
@TalonMan Are there any CE Japanese games, aside from the Climax Edition of Bayonetta?
There are the Treasure Box editions for Nobunaga's Ambition: Taishi, Attack on Titan 2, and Fire Emblem Warriors. But those games are all Japanese, zero English support.
I believe the limited version of Fate/Extella, again Japan only, supports English. I'm not 100% sure though.
Then there's the Japan-only limited edition for Azure Strikers Gunvolt which supports English.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,260 games (as of June 15th, 2024)

This doesn't surprise me at all. Early East Coast launch time (damn early!) and probably low stock. Would sign up for an alert, but I know Amazon will never email me (or anyone else) IF this gets restocked lol

Out of curiosity, are the majority of you serious and thorough collectors? I STRONGLY prefer physical games, but only buy what I’m interested in paying. I generally only go for collectors editions or more expensive editions of games I really like.
I’ve got the first two CEs from LRG as I love all three of those titles, but I’ll be skipping the next couple of games entirely.
I’ve only imported Bayonetta Climax and Flame in the Flood so far, but I’m looking at Aragami and a Little Nightmares as well. I’ll also need the Japanese version of Bayonetta 3 because it’ll bother me to no end to not have a complete trilogy.
I really appreciate this thread and all the contributors because digital games hurt my soul, but I wonder, am I the oddball of the group?

@rumandgore I’m more interested in what I want to play than collect it all. I prefer physicals over anything and will import if necessary. As for LE/CE it depends on what game and if I want it or not. Otherwise I go with standard for most
@rumandgore - If it's a game and it comes in English I am likely to buy it all things considered. LEs and CEs are going to be scarce for me as most of the time I may not enjoy what they offer.
I have the complete NA library of the Wii U. I wanted to collect for Switch cause as we all know, some games become too expensive down the road. Plus it's a different challenge of collecting while a system is active vs dead or dying. With all these exclusive releases like online, or limited runs...I'm having a blast. I haven't had this much fun collecting in a long time.

I’m the same way. I buy what I think I’ll enjoy playing. I don’t have a complete set of physical releases, nor do I have any desire to get one. I love collectors editions and limited edition games and will try to get them for any game I think looks cool, but have no problem passing on them if it’s a game I won’t like.
@TalonMan nice list! I think you’re missing the Psyvariar launch and limited edition from the Dispatch Game Store as well as the EU Harvest Moon Collector Edition.
Psyvarviar is on my to-do list, but that's not launching till September, so it didn't make this list.
I thought about the Harvest Moon EU thing, but since I'm already getting the NISA one (and as you can see, that list is ALREADY hugely expensive!!), I think I have to pass on that one.
@TalonMan did you manage to secure the 30th Edition Street Fighter game? I thought by the time it hit this thread, it had already sold out? I was bummed about that one, wanted to grab one for myself.
I actually had missed it myself (I remembered the pre-order at 4:20am - 20 minutes after it started, and they were GONE!!!) - thankfully, I was able to secure one through somebody else who had gotten an extra copy!! I was PISSED at the time, though!
@TalonMan Are there any CE Japanese games, aside from the Climax Edition of Bayonetta? Are you also counting the bigger NA boxes, like Puyo Puyo Tetris and Shantae?
I don't know of any other Japanese CE ones at the moment, but I'm not really collecting Japanese games anyway (unless they have an option for English, which isn't very often ).
Thanks for the replies! I find the differences between collectors interesting. I’d love to collect everything, but with the rate LRG is releasing games, it would be tough enough to just keep up with them. I decided to break the cycle early on with games I’m not interested in. I won’t get 4 and 5 so no pressure to miss one down the road.
I like to consider my collection as “elite” and I’ll play any game in it.
@rumandgore I do not consider myself a “hardcore” collector but I do prefer physical over digital. It also hurts my soul when a game I bought digitally gets a physical release. (I’m talking about you Steamworld Dig 2) I do plan on collecting all LRG games and have double dipped on Thimbleweed Park. I do get CEs of games that I like and I only buy games that I don’t play if I think there will be a limited availability of copies.
I won’t buy a digital game no matter how good it it is. The only time I buckled was a couple weeks ago when I saw CupHead for Xbox One... it had a case with a download code (Similiar to Sonic and Death Squared) other than that.... NOPE. Worse case I can sell the physical stuff and make a couple bucks back plus no digital GCU

Really - you won't buy ANY? I dunno - there have been a couple of games that I'm willing to double-dip on (buy digital and physical), but my ONLY condition is that it MUST be on-sale on the eShop (I will absolutely NOT pay full price for a digital game!!).
Like Golf Story - I've heard enough rumors to last a lifetime that it's going to be available on cartridge, but it showed up on-sale on the eShop so I purchased it... ...but I'll definitely buy the physical copy if/when it ever comes out.
I'm willing to do the same with Stardew, but so far I haven't seen it on sale yet so I'm just patiently waiting...
