There was a topic like this on push square and noticed there wasn't one here that wasn't years old! Put ideas for your dream switch games! (You can also post thoughts on those ideas if you want)

-Working title: Mario Kart World
-The gist: Y'know forza horizon? That but mario kart. A big open world (obviously not as big as forza's world because that would chug the frame rate). Each region is an expanded version of a track (e.g toad's turnpike as a city, delfino square is just delfino plaza with a road system). There are quests you can find around the map like a toad farmer in moo moo meadows having a mole problem and the moles challenge you to a race.
-Additional info: The normal racing is in the game too, the open world is just like a story mode like diddy kong racing.
-You can get little upgrades to your kart using coins you get from finishing quests in the open world.
-You unlock characters by racing them in the open world
-Instead of having metal mario/tanooki mario/pink gold peach as separate character slots, you can buy extra costumes with the aforementioned coins.

Beatmania IIDX Nintendo style

Nintendo hired Konami to create Beatmania IIDX exclusively for Switch with songs provided by both BEMANI and Nintendo team. The game can be played with touch screen or using LABO Piano.
Difficulty peak being lowered to cater beginner player (6 keys). There is also DDR mode (4 keys) for every songs so player can plug in Gamecube DDR mat with adapter to play on Switch.
GOLI Matsumoto also being hired to provide his Beatmania IIDX characters and Nintendo characters with his drawing style.

Smokey and the Bandit the videogame!
Or if not the exact IP then a game where you drive booze/drugs across America crossing state lines under a strict time limit. You could get into massive police chases and when you complete a mission you get cash to upgrade the lorry and car that comes with you.

It should also be set in the 70s as opposed to now because the 21st century is Facist and sucks.

You could have all the classic Muscle cars and American lorries to choose from and even do truck racing side missions to earn extra cash as the game should be in an open world. If the truck simulator games pull the massive world off then this game could do the same.

The classic rock soundtrack would also be killer. Doobies, tom petty, deep purple, Bob Seger ahh you can just imagine it!

@Jackpaza0508 ha ha thanks! I've been thinking about this game for a whilst especially when playing American Truck Simulator on PC. Those truck games could be so much better with real stories and huge police chases and no speed cameras!

I like your idea too Mario Kart is awesome don't get me wrong but it would be great with a shake up.

Combining elements of platforming, RPG, puzzle and lemmings games, the unique skills of each Goomba much be utilised to efficiently complete their quest.

Title: Star Fox - Multiverse

An unknown all powerful enemy has built a doomsday device to give them control of the known universe, when activated the device has shattered time and space, opening cracks into other unknown universes, Star Fox must travel through these cracks to recover components of the device and restore the multiverse.

Other Universes include...The Mushroom Kingdom, Hyrule, The Galactic Federation, Inkopolis etc..Star Fox must travel to each one and form new alliances.

The game would be more inline with traditional Star Fox games, but maybe some levels would draw inspiration for Star Fox Adventures, maybe 80% flying and 20% on foot?

Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival Deluxe

The original game, but with added features to make it worth $60 and appealing to people who disliked the original.

Heigh Ho Heigh Ho. It’s off to work (from home) I go.

@Jackpaza0508 @MarioBrickLayer Wasn’t there a Mario & Luigi game where you played as a Goomba?

EDIT: Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions

Like SF Multiverse idea. All for more Nintendo crossovers especially with themselves.

I dreamed about these games so I will list them first.

Ninja Turtles game - while I do think a game made by the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 team would be a great idea, I feel TMNT needs a Third person over the shoulder game just as much.

And not just any third person view game either but a 4 player local splitscreen and online game too. When it comes to ninja turtles you rarely ever get a game thats a Third person shoulder View game and has local splitscreen co-op. The closest we get are isometric games which of course are also super welcome but I think a couch party creating custom teams of their favorite characters and even creating their own ninja to throw in the mix would be so cool.

Local 4 player splitscreen and third person wouldn't be easy but I feel with specific goals and creativity it is possible. Not saying this is the direction I want it to go in but hypercharge unboxed is a first person shooter or FPS and tower defense game that offers local splitscreen co-op, large levels, and visuals that are some of the best on switch.

For a turtles game we possibly wouldn't even need as many enemies on screen or as much space(though a little space would be appreciated) so a third person turtles game with local splitscreen co-op should be possible if hypercharge can pull it off under slightly different circumstances.

Several enemies is crucial, but it need not be as many enemies as hypercharge, especially since minibosses and bosses could be mixed in with weaker enemies to help keep enemy count down. High enemy diversity should take priority anyway instead of high spawn rate. Smaller levels would be a good trade off for more levels in general.

Perhaps levels themselves could be customized by players by allowing them to craft their own defense strategies for them like hypercharge but different. For instance players could assign certain guardians to levels like any of playable characters including the turtles, casey, april, leatherhead, or splinter who would help the players in battle also gurdians could offer unique customizations based off their backstories, appearances, or skills, as well as each stage could have a unique defense option but the rest could be shared between stages.

Id love to meet and learn about turtle allies and enemies i never met before. Id also love to create and swap between custom turtle universe members of my team when playing solo. Teleportation/Dimension machines powers are always important parts of ninja turtles recent shows so using it to explain and inspire a local couch splitscreen game might work.

Im am using the hypercharge team as an example because its so rare that a team pursues full couch co-op instead of just online co op in more demanding game perspectives, plus pull it off. I really do think they should be pursued for a third person view One Punch Man, He Man game or a licensed tower defense game in general.

Only dreamed about turtles game i can't remember what the other game was. Also Arms team is definitely worth mentioning and arms is a much more stable game and even offers 2 player local splitscreen i think in its main mode(who does that for a boxing game so cool) and a 4 player splitcreen multiplayer vs only mode.

I am least interested in a game based off the new show but if they appear in the game along with other versions of the turtles then that would be a good way to skip 2 rocks with only 1 stone as opposed to alienating an entire audience when the best goal is to appease to all audiences if possible. Also a bundle consisting of a mini game based off the new show but the main game being in the style of the older shows or self contained universe is another.

StuTwo

Pokémon X Fire Emblem.

With permadeath!

Also if you get two Pokémon up to S rank they make an egg and no one is sure how it got there.

@Jackpaza0508 more like Fire Emblem with a Pokemon skin (and using the same Pokemon you've caught in other Pokemon games).

Honestly though - it's something that Nintendo should have arranged decades ago. It's a perfect fit and would end up with a really accessible and appealing SRPG that would sell huge numbers.

@StuTwo Hey, Pokémon Conquest is a thing !
But I agree, they should remake that game or put out a Sequel.
