So reviews go live Thursday, right? Or is it Wednesday? I'm getting the game regardless, so reviews are irrelevant in whether or not I pick it up. I'm predicting it will sit between a 92 and 93 percent on GameRankings once a good chunk of reviews are in.
Sorry. I'll be too busy Smashing to care about what other people think

@RDBC1983 It probably depends. Games like Splatoon handle lag differently from Smash. The slightest hint of input lag for Smash is awful. Which was how 4 was. I'd get the game first and test it out and decide from there.
@RDBC1983 Have you played any other fighting games online? That would probably give you the best verdict, but you should be fine if you can run Splat 2.

I’ve actually never played Smash, or any other games in this genre.
I’ll probably get my ass whooped for the first few hours/days. I can’t dedicate all of my gaming time to it, but I’ll split 50/50 with Warframe, which has quickly turned into a full-blown addiction.
This looks like one of those games that seems like a button masher at first, but is actually deceptively tactical. Look like a lot of fun though.
Well, it’s prepurchased and downloaded, so I guess we’ll find out. 😁
That’s a personal choice. I’m all-digital and wouldn’t have it any other way. There are folks here who buy physical whenever possible. There’s quite a few threads on the benefits of each if you need more input.

I have mainly gone to most being digital with just a few physical copies that I found cheap. Knowing the game will not drop in price makes me want to dip into the digital side, but then my son is wanting a switch to play in his room, so physical might be better so he can barrow the cartridge.

Yeah, it sounds like physical might make more sense for you and your son.
The FEH smash promo image is making me want a FE Fighting game in this style. Is it Friday yet?
