Topic: Splatoon 3

Love that this game is at a higher resolution (4k?) now on Switch 2. I had some issues reading text (only) in this game. Now it's cristal clear.
My eye sight is good actually.

Team land. Love a good long drive for a trip in the summer.

@WoomyNNYes Yep, nothing beats a good, scenic drive. Especially in a sporty or luxury vehicle... or even just a nice, comfortable car. I've been on family road trips my whole life, whether it was going down south or out west. Driving is way more adventurous. Trains, RVs and buses also count if people are into those sorts of things.

Flying would be great if it was fast, easy and cheap, but I'm still sick of Big Man Fest. I've never been on a cruise and I'm frankly turned off by cruises because of the horror stories I keep hearing about them.

Since I haven’t been on a boat or plane before I’ll probably go for Team Land.

I am not digging around for it, but when the game first launched I suggested Land V Sea V Air as a theme, so I am 100% claiming this one haha! Still unsure which team I will pick, but I actually just got homr from a trip (by land) to the mountains!

I got a gold banner about a year or two and never actually realised it was rare. I'm still using my flame banner I got within the first few months of the game.

As someone who enjoys cars and trains, I'll be picking Land. Long road trips and train rides are nice and relaxing to me, and heck, I even rode an old-fashioned train on my vacation from last week! Air would be my second choice, as I've gotten more used to plane trips. I've never been on a cruise before, though I have rode a boat years ago.

@WoomyNNYes You certainly are! I've gotten a gold banner a while ago and I still have it equipped on my splashtag.

I don't dislike Land travel, but travelling by Air is so fun! That said, I would like to go on a boat somethime, so I might pick that. We shall see!

Anyone have thoughts on the likelihood of another content set? I am leaning towards yes because

• 2 Inkopolis Collections (Square Collection and Plaza Collection) makes sense.
• Data for the Reef and Kelp Dome have been found, as well as some weapon (I think).
• They never said we had gotten the last MultiP stage like they did with Salmon Run.
• Unavailable gear has been accidentally promoed (before being removed).

Shiver: "The upside to land is the ability to move at your own speed and change course anytime."
Frye: "Sure, but why do all that work? Travel by sea, and kick back the entire time!"
Big Man: "Ay! (But an air trip lets you go anywhere you want in a snap!)"
Frye: "Huh. Y'know, it's been a minute since we got enough time off to take a trip."
Shiver: "It feels like we're in such demand that we're always being pulled in eight directions."
Big Man: "Ay. (If our schedule ever calms down, it might be fun to go sightseeing.)"
Frye: "That's a great idea! We could go on a cruise to a bunch of countries. Let's live off the fat of the sea!"
Shiver: "Isn't that a tad dangerous, considering we can't swim? A land voyage is more feasible."
Big Man: "Ay? Ay! (If we're gonna travel, why not fly? I love the view from the window seat!)"
Shiver: "It's astonishing we've been together for this long without agreeing on anything."
Big Man: "Ay... (It's almost more shocking these days when we're on the same page...)
Ay! Ay. (Anyway! Air travel is quickest, so if you like efficiency, it can't be beat.)"
Frye: "Tsk, tsk. Getting there is half the fun! Or so my dad always tells me. On a ship, you can get to know your fellow passengers or watch the world float by."
Shiver: "You've never been one to sit still for more than a few minutes, it's true. But if you want to make the most of your travel time, nothing beats a road trip. Unlike planes or ships, in a car you can go on detours wherever your whims take you."
Frye: "How, though? I thought you don't have your license."
Big Man: "Ay? Ay? (Still? Did you fail your driving test again?)"
Shiver: "I'll never back down! They have to pass me someday!"
Frye: "It's either that or a lifetime ban."
Big Man: "Ay. Ay... (Going wherever you want does sound nice. I wish I could fly a plane..)"
Frye: "Yooo, do you have your sights set on a license too? Then I'll go for a boating license! First up: mastering the pedal boats."
Shiver: "I'd buy a ticket to watch you try."
Big Man: "Ay! (The point is we're about to kick off another heated summer Splatfest!)"
Shiver: "Does everyone have their special Splatfest gear? Check the Nintendo Switch News app!"

Ok that dialogue HAS to be setting up Splatoon Raiders. You cant convince me otherwise!

In the German localisation Frye says she wants to go to a Boating School. She wants at least a "Pedal-Boat-Class A"(licence) 😂
Didn't remind me of an other yellow character at all! 👀

The Latin American Spanish translation wrote it as if she wants to be a ship captain…

Which reminds me, is that other yellow character ever getting their license for real anytime soon?

I pity Shiver not having a driver's license at 24 years old, but then again, she has Master Mega...

Frye travels by riding her eels, but they fly through the air! I guess she just finds a boat more appealing.

Shiver: "And if we do it on OUR terms, we can bring gear, grub, and fun. Or a FOURTH item!"

Big Man: "Ay! (Aw, we shouldn't leave Splatsville. But I'm glad you'd both come with me if we did!)"

So maybe we should blame Big Man for the events of Splatoon Raiders if Team Air wins?
