@AccessibleDaydream Contrary to the previous replies, I think you should not burn out. If you don’t want to do it simply don’t. It’s a video game that’s meant to be fun. That being said I will certainly play with renewed vigour after this update

A Splatoon spin-off was not on my bingo card, though I am a bit surprised they haven’t done a spin-off already. Pretty cool and it’s interesting that it’s going to seemingly be single-player only compared to how the main games focused a lot on multiplayer, and how the spin-off is going to be more story focused. It’s nice to hear that Deep Cut will be getting the spotlight this time! Though, it’s a bit of a bummer to hear that it’ll be a Switch 2 exclusive…

And I saw Urchin Underpass is making a comeback in 3 after being a no-show in the second? I’m so angry I don’t have my Switch right now haha because I loved that map in the first game.

@CaleBoi25 how many people can be in a GameChat session at once? I would have to do some moving around of my console and the dock, et cetera, but it could work I’m sure.

@Xenoblade-Fan I'll just try it a bit, without committing to anything yet. It'll be a sort of fresh start, I think. Maybe I'll eventually get back into competitive, maybe not.

I'm in a personal pickle with the big Splatoon 3 update. I wouldn't mind playing Splatoon 3 on the new, shinier system but I play Splatoon best in handheld, and I REALLY don't want to deal with Switch 2's terrible battery life right now, so it would actually feel like a severe downgrade for me. I think 3 still looks great as is, especially on the OLED Switch 1 screen. The new content is coming to both systems, after all.

@Dev-N I haven't had problems with battery life thus far, though I rarely play longer than an hour and a half or so.
@AccessibleDaydream 4 can share video, but up to 12 can be on audio calls.

My dream Big Swig kits would be Autobomb and Crab Tank, or Burst bomb and Zipcaster. And we got... neither! 🥲

@CaleBoi25 I actually think that the big swing will see some use. It just needed torp and triple splash I think is just okay

I might try to pick up the rapid though, I play s blast because it’s fun, and edit for cooler. This may be a nice convergence of worlds.

I’m scared of charger with crab, that is gonna be annoying.

I'm playing Splatoon 3 on Switch 2 after all. I was actually exaggerating when I said I play best in handheld. That's largely true, but ever since I mained the Carbon Roller Deco, I played on the TV much more. Maybe it's because I don't have to be concerned too much about aiming with a roller? But I can just learn to steady my gyro and controller this time...

I'm disappointed with the Hoofz Dualie Squelchers, but there's a LOT of the new weapons I'm looking forward to trying out.

• Carbon Roller ANG-L (Don't know if I'll care for Super Chump, but fizzy bombs are better than burst ones.)
• Dapple Dualies NOC-T (Sounds suitably aggressive for my playstyle!)
• Splattershot Pro FRN-Z (Same.)
• Jet Squelcher COB-R (Longtime Jet Squelcher user and this kit sounds just fine to me.)
• H-3 Nozzlenose VIP-R (Rarely use Nozzlenoses but I love the snake design and the kit is good.)
• Glamorz Splattershot (Finally, a Kraken Royale kit I can like!)
• Clawz .96 Gal (Seems decent and I love the leopard design.)
• Stickerz Splatana Stamper (Seems like the best Stamper for me.)
• Planetz Big Swig Roller (Seems like a better kit than the Express for me.)
• Cometz Octobrush (Could be a strong contender for my favorite Brush.)
• Bulbz Tri-Stringer (Could be a strong contender for my favorite Stringer.)

Especially Frye’s design. It’s like all three are enjoying some paradise time…

@MrCarlos46 Paradise? I want to believe the deserted island Splatfest influenced Splatoon Raiders. I'm half-expecting Deep Cut to joke about it.

Just found out that the update is now live.

One thing's for sure: This year's Summer Nights Splatfest will be a lot more interesting with all these new weapons and playing Urchin Underpass at night again!

I do have some qualms with clams on Urchin though, doesn’t it feel like the basket is in a weird place a little too deep in spawn?

I wonder if the influx of players due to the update and Switch 2 will finally break the Big Man win streak.
