Hi, first place sorry my poor english.
I did some modifications in my nintendo switch dock, and i just like to share with nintendo life subscribes.
The images:
Get a Temper Glass screen that is more smarter and better protection then the cloth could do. It is a myth the Dock has yet to be proven scratches the screen. It's the users not learning how to dock their Dock.
I got a "high end" screen protector made of treated flexible glass for about 20 bucks that solved that issue. It's a harder material than what would scratch the screen in the dock, thus it can't be scratched by the dock.

I am honestly to scared to let my wife touch the Switch for fear of her dropping it or scratching it (by her own admission she is clumsy) so as the man of the house I handle all Switch docking responsibilities.
Easier, and more bang for your buck since you'll be protecting the screen from ALL types of scratches any where you go, dock included.

I hope I won't jinx myself by saying this, but my kid has been docking and undocking the Switch since the day the system launched, with only a basic plastic screen protector, and nothing has ever happened to it. She was eight years old when she started playing on it, and she's not a particularly careful kid.
I have no idea what people are doing with their Switches to cause scratched screens and broken shells, but it's not the Switch's fault.

Remind yourself that overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer.

Those kinda statements is what makes the rest of of males look so bad, she says once and you concluded she is a problem. Not a very good home life there if you make assumption from one thing and take it to a new low here.

Same here my nieces and nephews play on my NSW and I have no problem with the Dock or Portable mode gaming handling the NSW. But I do have a Temper Glass HD on it just for screen protection and a GripCase for portable and when dropped it protects it more.
I suppose if the dock is a tight fit, scratching the screen might be a worry. But if that's the case I'd think a screen protector or piece of cloth between the Switch and the dock would mean the Switch doesn't fit in the dock. With mine at least, the fit is a bit loose when sliding the system into the dock. As such I can tilt the Switch back a little, and the screen never rubs against the front of the dock while being put into place. And when removing the Switch from the dock, I pull it strait up with no angles involved.
@SwitchForce I think you took that last bit to seriously but really the amount of times she has dropped plates glasses phones etc is laughable and you know what we have a laugh about it I am not some dictator but being 100% honest my heart does race a bit fast when ANYONE is handling it.

Of course anyone would get a heart attack when someone handles your NSW it was 299.99 and past warranty or any extended warranty bought is not cheap to fix or replace. So there comes a give and take to trust others but one shouldn't think those others are the only ones that drop the NSW, I done my fair share but I had the case on it which I was like oh &&& and it kept on kicking still.
I have some scratches on the right side of the black border of my Switch. Don't bug me though, least the actual screen portion is unscratched...unlike my original gameboy.
