@skywake As for the first photo, that is very intriguing. Maybe there's room for more Switch games? It's hard to tell exactly what that is in the middle of the empty spot.
For the 2nd picture, that's something I noticed, too. I think this was just for an effect though. Since the camera was panning right, they wanted it to stop showing once it got to the end (so it doesn't show any emptiness)
I still think Switch's Successor will be announced in October, maybe around a week or so after the Nintendo Museum officially opens. September is a possibility, but then again Echoes of Wisdom and a potential Nintendo Direct would make that hard to fit in the schedule. I guess we'll have to wait and see!

The display was there to show the evolution of graphics over time. Galaxy 2 was, visually, more or less the same as Galaxy. There would be no reason to include it in that kind of display. I suspect they'd also exclude Majora's Mask when showing the evolution of graphics for Zelda. Same idea

Curious question regarding Microsoft after the recent Indiana Jones going to PS5 fiasco that seems to be raging across the internet, does anyone think Microsoft are waiting for the Switch 2 to be revealed to announce more games coming to the Nintendo platform?

@FragRed Absolutely. Not sure how many of their games will come to Switch 2, but there will be some.
Fully expecting CoD Black Ops 6 (and Warzone) and Sea of Thieves for the system's launch or soon afterwards. Next year's CoD and future ones will launch day and date with the other platforms. Past that, who knows? Battletoads and Psychonauts 2 would be good choices to bring over.
On the subject of Microsoft and Switch 2, it'd be really cool to see Grounded get a performance patch on Switch 2. I get that'd be more of a dev thing than a Microsoft thing, but still, I love that game. On Switch performance is pretty rough, frames can get pretty chunky, but on Switch 2? If they can get that game running smoothly and at a higher resolution, I could see myself getting absorbed into that game like I did on PC. Would be really cool to see, that game can look stupidly pretty on other consoles! (Not to mention, it's really fun!)
I'm cringe, but I'm free.
Into the Pit launches on Switch September 27th! I'm a happy boy. :)

Has anyone started a semi-official poll thing for people to stake their claim on the real final Switch 2 name? If not, here you go. https://forms.gle/f8YTyD8w4so4NTHY8
@IceClimbers Speaking of Battletoads, if the next console is pretty strong enough and has a lot of space, it would be nice to see Rare Replay come over. I think the thing preventing that from coming over to the OG Switch is the fact that the 360 titles included are separate downloads and take up a good amount of space combined (if you download them all) and some of the other content in there like these bonus short video documentaries. I think a lot of the games on there suit Nintendo’s audience more tonally than Xbox’s audience despite me liking the Xbox a lot, and I can imagine that it could generate a decent amount of sales, given a lot of Rare fans use Nintendo consoles and some of the games are appealing to Nintendo’s casual audience.
I think a good few of Microsoft’s games have a good chance of appearing on the next Nintendo console from that multiplatform strategy they’ll be taking for a select few of their games, but I sort of don’t see ports of their triple-A games happening for some reason. If the next console isn’t big or strong, I wouldn’t be surprised if they made some of them cloud titles if they added higher budget titles on there.

#Genie Girl 10th Anniversary
@skywake Is this a big developer in Japan? I can’t tell if they are saying they are working on releasing this game for the Switch successor or if they are hoping to get it on the Switch successor but don’t yet have the dev kits/know anything about it yet.

@FragRed
They're an indie developer, looks like their first game were released on 3DS before they moved on to Switch. But I believe this is the first time a developer has explicitly said they were targeting the Switch Successor. Probably a slip up but still. Also, if it's launching in the first half of next year then I would suspect that development kits would be fairly well distributed by this point

@skywake Okay yeah that makes sense. I asked because they replied to someone saying “Successor units will be given priority. If the successor and Switch are similar, we would like to release games on Switch as well.” which suggested they didn’t know anything about the hardware for the Switch 2.

Anyone read about the rumor regarding TSMC hiking chip prices across the board, which will increase the price of most products moving forward? This could be the reason why Switch 2 turns out to be $450-500 instead of $400. Hoping that's not the case obviously.
