What games do you want nintendo or another company to remake or remaster for switch?

Great question!

It's very unlikely to happen, but Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2 with restored content (some planned content of Kotor 2 never made it into the final game). I would also love to see a remake of Donkey Kong 64, but that too is unlikely since so many people seem to dislike it and think it's fundamentally flawed. Also, if Konami decided to change their business strategies and re-release the MGS HD collection and Silent Hill HD collection on Switch I would definitely buy it.

Mario 64, A Link to the Past, Super Metroid. All vaguely likely at some point.

Skies of Arcadia. Unlikely.

@Agriculture I would love a KotOR remake but what a headache of rights a person would have to go through.

Disney, current owners of the Starwars IP
EA who owns Bioware who made the game which is probably the easiest to get since EA has been doing Starwars games the past few years.
Wizards of the Coast since it uses the D20 system
Not to mention all the voice actors.

For sure some of the older Zelda games, at a medium price range, such as A Link to the Past (upgraded visuals like Link's Awakening, and some new features like widescreen, multiple item buttons), the two Oracle games, and maybe even the two DS games because they could be ported over without sacrificing much of the originals' charm. One game that deserves a remake for me are some older Metroid games. Having never played them, it would be great for people like me.
Another game I'd want on switch is Xenoblade Chronicles X, since all GamePad features can be mapped to the - button, like FrontierNav (map), and squad notifications. Furthermore, the visuals are quite stunning already, and some new stuff they could put in can range from new missions to new optional characters (like Alexa, Bozé who aren't playable but can be useful), to new classes, to crazy stuff like even a sixth continent somewhere between Noctilum and Cauldros. Considering MonolothSoft added an entire 15-hour epilogue to Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, and added a 20-hour standalone expansion on top of all the cool stuff in Xenoblade Chronicles 2's expansion pass, the last idea doesn't seem so far fetched after all.
@Dezzy, Because of 3D All Stars I personally have written off a 64 remake, but if Nintendo do remake the game I'd expect widescreen, 60fps performance, overhauled physics and graphics, new music... all in! After all the N64 slogan was Get N or Get Out.

Yeah I don't expect Mario 64 remake any time soon. Maybe like a decade from now, or something like that.

I would love to see an excite truck remake with online multiplayer, updated graphics and extra tracks. Had hundreds of hours of fun with this game on the Wii.

@Dezzy I'm not so sure they are extremely likely, or at least not anytime soon. 64 was already re-released through 3D All Stars, ALttP got a pseudo-remake in ALBW, and they're probably working on a new 2D Metroid for Switch and won't have time to remake Super Metroid.

I would like to see a Super Metroid remake at some point though, and unlike what some people claim, the game isn't "perfect" and there are definitely improvements to be made, albeit not as major as what they did with Zero Mission and Samus Returns. Maridia needs a complete overhaul and they could definitely stand to add more powerups such as the Spider Ball. Adding a new mechanic wouldn't hurt either, the game doesn't really stand out in any way, it's just a regular old Metroid game.

@theJGG You do know that Zero Mission and Samus Returns are already remakes of the first two games, right? And they're major overhauls that drastically improve those games? All they really need to do for the time being is make Zero Mission and Fusion more accessible, then maybe down the line they can remake Super and later Fusion.

That is really hard, generally i would like to see more remasters or remakes from games that i have not played yet.
I guess i would greatly enjoy an older Fire Emblem Remake since Shadows of Valentia is probably my favorite Game of the series right now and i would love to see more of the old games now.
Another wish is for a Zelda Skyward Sword remake to happen since it is one of the few 3D Zeldas that i think genuinely deserve a second chance with easier controls.
A Metroid Fusion remake or remaster would be very welcome as well as some of the other Donkey kong country titles(although i guess returns and tropical freeze are already enough)
The best remake or remaster on the Switch for me personally would be the Mother series since i have been interested in it for a long time but never touched it, also it would be a great chance to reignite some interest into the series or a Xenosaga remake since i love Xenoblade and always wanted to try out the rest too.
Generally i am a bit tired of Remakes and Remasters after this year though, better save all those for later times but they would all be safe buys for me nonetheless

@Bolt_Strike Kinda, but there's nothing against it happening again. Not a good example but think back to Xenoblade. That was put on the 3DS and then the Switch, two high-effort productions. And there's no reason to slap 'em together in a high-quality Switch port (the Metroid games), from Nintendo's perspective. But if not those two, bona fide Metroid Prime Trilogy.

I agree. That's why I said vaguely likely and not extremely likely!

@Solaine good shout with the fire emblem stuff, I would love a remastered fire emblem collection or something similar!

Considering all the Nintendo Games from NES to 3DS games they got plenty to go back to and remaster and upgrade for the Switch Library. I suspect Nintendo has been looking at this since the Launch of the Switch in 2017.

@SwitchForce Nintendo is literally one of the worst companies when it comes to remastering their legacy content. There's a crap ton of titles that are still just locked to specific systems and Wii's Virtual Console is still the most robust and least lacking in terms of content. There's no way they were considering remasters for this console before anything else like the NSO service

I dream of a remake/soft-reboot of the original Project Zero/Fatal Frame. That series still has so much untapped potential and it's as dear to me as the Silent Hill series. The original is a fun throw back but quite dated when compared to later titles, it also lacks some of nuance that characterises the sequels I feel. It has a harsher, gritter feel to it but the mystery and intrigue isn't quite there.

I think a revisit would do it well drawing on what came after would also help them flesh it out a little more and bring it more in line with what follows, normally this would be a negative but I actually think the series generally did a good job of expanding the lore and building an interesting, vaguely connected world. The original is especially important to 3 so that could be an aspect they could draw on.
