I buy all my games physical unless i don't have an option so 128GB should do me, as i only want to buy once really.

I'll wait to see how much I may end up using, but I think about 256 should be enough.
Got several retail downloads on my Wii U and I've only used about 300GB of my 2TV hard drive. I may also get more physical games perhaps, but it also depends on the games. (Ones I will play regularly like Splatoon will be digital.)

256gb baby!

Gimme that quarter terabyte in a chip... sexy little powerful thing.

Results of the poll are interesting. I'm surprised to see 1 out of 4 people are opting for the prime choice 256gb. What is even more interesting is that 1 out of 3 plan to use no SD.

edit
Welp, ordered a 2nd 256gb microSD. I have a 2nd Switch on order to pilfer accessories, but since I'll still have an extra Switch out of it, may as well trick it out.

I voted 128. It depends on when.

The reason I won't buy one as big as possible is just the pricing. The moment it's viable for me to buy a big one with proper read speed (that's important) at a sane price I'll buy 256+, preferably over 512 if at all possible.

Same here. Depending on how fast space fills up on my system, it may be quite awhile before I get one. I'm not one to download games unless that's my only option.

Currently playing: Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr's Journey, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana (Switch)

Well 128GB is the highest capacity that's not more than the cost of a game. So it makes sense that's the most popular capacity. And obviously a lot of people are going to buy physical copies of most of their games. For them the 32GB will last quite a while. So it's interesting to see but I'm not sure that it's that surprising

I've got a 32GB from when I switched it out of my 3DS in place of a 64GB so I'll slide that in and upgrade if necessary at a later time.

Game(s) right now: Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon, World of Final Fantasy Maxima

I might get that sandisk 200gb. With the eshop. We can buy and digitally download all the full titles games correct? Such as Zelda and Mario cart. Etc?

I've got a 64GB card from my old Windows phone. Will probably just use that. Plan to go mainly physical this time around unless there is a decent offer on myNintendo, so 64GB should be fine for now and maybe the price of a 1/4 TB would have dropped by then

I'll go for 128GB. Should last me for quite a while before having to upgrade which will probably happen at some point.

@MarkTrav82 Yes. You can get retail games from the eShop. I think there are some physical games that can't be found from eShop, at least on 3DS, but that's really rare. The only game I can think of right now that was released physically but can't be found on eShop is Cave Story 3D.

It's its, not it's.

@JaxonH I admire and envy your commitment to gaming. I hope you don't mind me getting personal and dirty like, but how do you finance it all?

@gcunit
Well, after my divorce it was alot easier just supporting myself and not another person too. Plus I finally got a decent job as a CMM programmer, training to be a quality engineer. Just typical middle class but, 50,000 a year on average, of course that's with a little OT as well.

But I pretty much have no other hobbies or interests, so I'm not out buying blurays all the time or blowing money at the bar like alot of people. Pretty much just bills, and everything else goes to games. With just enough left over to still save $100-200 a paycheck and build up the checking account balance.

I think alot of other people have kids too, which is a big expense. And I never had kids either.

Holding out for hopefully a direct detailing VC and past purchases. If games transfer over for free/minimal upgrade then I will go with a 200. If all my purchases are stuck on the WiiU then 128 with an upgrade if/when more space is needed.

512 GB micro SD. Got it on sale and that should be enough to hold me.

IF i get more memory it's probably only a 32gb, i'm not really that big on eshop titles and i buy only physical games.

Would of been cool if they allowed this type of SSD to be inserted into a slot. https://youtu.be/wLnFPTIsiGI?t=380
SSD in question is at 6:20

Wishful thinking aside, maybe a 64GB I don't plain on getting much digital downloads. Only ones really with be Indie games.

None at the moment as I'll buy physical, but down the line possibly if we get access to a really strong VC library.

I have found a Sandisk Ultra 64GB card in one of my old devices, so I guess I'll just use this for now if I somehow manage to use up the Switch's 32GB. Don't envisage buying an SD card for a while as I prefer to buy physical games than digital apart from the odd VC title and eshop games.

This is exactly what makes me not want to have kids lol

I love my wife to death, so no issues there, but kids ... that could infringe on hobby time haha
