....Or whatever it's called, yeah guess I'll make a thread on this...JUUUUUUUUST in case they fix things and make me interested in it at some point.
So, this game is coming to Switch and is basically Garden Warfare 3. I used to love the original and played constantly, mainly because of Garden Ops, the mode just had that original game charm. I also just like the whole co-op vs. AI enemies stuff in addition to the bosses and chaos that mode had. As for the other modes, I didn't care for them as much, mainly because of internet issues or hackers/cheaters. The series in general is one of those 3rd person class-based team battles, like with Overwatch and Team Fortress.
Anyways the sequel came along and...even though they added a lot to the Ops (even gave us Graveyard Ops so you could play the mode as zombies), they....basically removed the charm for me, it just wasn't as fun. Maybe other people enjoyed it more, I dunno.
Then last year happened and we're at Garden Warfare 3, Battle For Neighborville. I probably won't bother with this game because Ops is now barebones...ugh. After that game released I didn't even care, I took one look at the Ops mode and...ugh...why did they do this? Someone on Steam did say they plan on updating it this year and bringing the true Ops mode back, but...I couldn't find a source.
And now...here we are in June 2020...for some bizarre reason EA cares about the Switch...and Nintendo is finally getting a new Plants vs. Zombies after having nothing since the DS. lol
Anyways, what do you guys think about the third game, any of you have it on other systems? Is the whole future Ops update thing true?

Keep it PG-13-ish.
This game is low-key charting fairly well on Amazon in Murica (#28 as of this post). Considering it's the first game to use the Frostbite engine on Switch, I voted with my wallet and ordered a copy. Even though this is a competitive multiplayer shooter, allegedly there's single player content? I'm still not sure if EA is beginning to wake up to the fact that the Switch is a platform worth porting their games to, or if they're gradually caving to pressure from their investors?

The single player is pretty cool. I've been playing some missions in the Town Center. When you first start the game, it's a bit overwhelming, and feels like a lack of direction, but once got going, I like it. I wish the characters & weapons were introduced & explained better, but the game & environments are cool, charming.
(If anyone gets the game, don't let the opening cutsceen scare you. The cutscenes can be a bit choppy, but the gameplay is decent enough, playable)
Did you learn the characters & their weapons just by picking them, and trying them out? Just making sure I'm not missing a tutorial, or weapon explanation that's already in the game. I got the game for the single player.
So far, I've only played as pea shooter and the kernel corn guy in town center missions, promoted them each once, and beat Olds Cool boss. I used a zombie foot soldier in Giddy Park briefly.
