Topic: Pikmin World for Nintendo Switch

Dutch retailer InterToys might just have given away information on the upcoming Pikmin game for Nintendo Switch titled as Pikmin World. Interestingly enough it has a release date of 24th March. While the release date may possibly change but this is some exciting news.

You would think they'd have announced it by now unless Nintendo have one last surprise up their sleeve.

@BigBadJohn exactly why i have doubts about the release date but who knows they might just slip it into the Nindies show today, But that's far fetched.

@Tsurii Well they could very well do that if you ask me. Now you wouldn't have predicted to see so many FE games until they decided to do so did you? and Miyamoto loves pikmin and would give it a go. Plus they already have assets for the game so they wouldn't have to do the game from ground up. So this is exciting to me

@Kuhang This is pretty old, and with no traceable source, I doubt it even counts as a "rumour".

I wouldn't be surprised if they announced Pikmin World on the 24th, but that may just be wishful thinking!

Best Buy Canada recently listed Pikmin World. Pikmin World is happening. They also listed Super Smash Bros for Switch and Dragon Quest XI.

Pikmin World is a stupid placeholder, it's not a rumour.

usually I would agree that they are placeholders, but once word got out, Bestbuy took down their placeholder images. They were up and gone within 24 hours

@Octane I think everyone should have a clue by now that there possibly are more than just one Pikmin game on the way. Why would anyone have a different placeholder name for a game everyone knows is Pikmin 4 and already confirmed by Miyamoto. As a matter of fact the game is sitting there completed since last holiday. Nintendo playing the waiting game for the right time to release the game. The name Pikmin World could possibly be a placeholder name, but for different Pikmin game. Not Pikmin 4.

@Kuhang Wait, are you saying they're developing Hey! Pikmin, Pikmin 4 AND ''Pikmin World''? Cause that ain't happening.

@Octane Pikmin 4 was completed long time ago and with the kind of rumours surrounding Pikmin World, the game isn't going to be a full priced game and more in the lines of something like Pokemon rumble and with the craze Miyamoto has for Pikmin with him trying so hard to push the ip, and with the assets for the game already there to be utilised in different ways, I wouldn't be surprised. And it's not like hey Pikmin is the sort of game that takes Ages to develop, if anything I'd say Pikmin 4 was the one that had the longest development time which was completed long time ago. So why not?

Whatever it is, we're only getting one Pikmin game for Switch. You can take my word for it.

@itslukec Don't worry about a Pikmin game being on Switch. Pikmin 4 is a given, no doubts whatsoever. Expect them to reveal this E3, sit back and relax 😄
