Topic: Nintendo 64 (Switch Online)

It’s gotta be next, right? After SNES was added, it’s bound to happen. If only the gaming rights stuff was ironed out so Goldeneye could be included. 😡.

I’ve been dying to play my favorite game all-time, Super Mario 64 for a while now. I don’t have a Wii U anymore or I’d have it. I have Super Mario 64 DS, but I can’t help but want the original over it.

What you guys think about N64 coming to Switch Online? I think this was the vision Nintendo had from the get-go. They wouldn’t allow the virtual console because they knew they’d make money off Online subscriber members and gradually re-release the virtual console games/channel. I get it, and would do the same thing.

I think we'll get them eventually, but it'll likely take a while (look how long it took to get SNES games). With how much I'm enjoying the SNES offerings I'd love to see a bunch of N64 classics on there as well.

I would love n64 games, but we need a lot more snes games before that happens.

I believe that GBA games come before N64.

I think GBA will be September 2020 and N64 will be September 2021. Between now and September 2020 will probably be drip feed of NES and SNES games.

N64 games will come 2021 when talks and rumours of the super NX come out

It's entirely possible Nintendo will do Game Boy and GBA games next. But we really don't know.

Sadly, if they continue their current pattern, we wont see anything but a slow slow drip feed of SNES games until this time next year.

Yeah, I have to agree. Until recently it was an issue because it was difficult to connect an N64 to a modern HDTV, but now they have these HDMI converters for the N64.

I honestly cannot name a single N64 game that I would be excited to replay... Well, maybe Star Fox... But that's it. Oh, wait, I also preferred the N64 version of F-Zero.

So, two games. I never liked the N64, even back then. My least favourite console.

I would like N64 games on the Switch I never had a N64 so I would be experiencing them for the first time

If that happens I wonder how they will do the controllers since they the controllers have multiple colors. Will they make every color available or just the grey color? Will they have built in controller pak and rumble pak features?

@Eel I think that resident evil 2 will be released on the eshop like the other games. Like most developers, Capcom doesn't seem comfortable with putting their big franchises on NSO (just look what they did with mega man)

@Eel Woah, I didn't really know that was on N64.

@GamingBread It was a great achievement at the time, having the entire game in a single N64 cartridge, and with a little bit of extra content as well.

It's about the most unique version of the game, so it would be awesome to have a way to play it again.
