@Grumblevolcano I was also thinking about the Indie World - like you say we had them on the following days in the past:
Tuesday 15 December 2020
Thursday 10 December 2019
Thursday 27 December 2018
Before that they weren’t really an established thing (we used to get a combo of Indie Highlights and Nindies Showcase).
So hopefully this week! Would be good to have some shadow dropped games to play over the holidays. I just picked up another indie in Loop Hero which is great but more of a dabbler and not a meaty game to consume my free time.
Outer Wilds would therefore be perfect and would explain why we haven’t heard anything further after it was postponed from the summer to “later in the year”.
Edit: just seen on some Japanese websites that there was an “Indie World Sale” announced today for the Japanese eshop which could be a good sign
@AegisPrime Oh, I hope it's a good one for you. Tbh, if you want to guarantee disappointment, go in to them expecting 3 or 4 games that make 'perfect sense' in rumour mills. Job done
I never drive faster than I can see. Besides, it's all in the reflexes.
@AegisPrime Wow, this surprises me, since it doesn't seem like you are new to gaming. So why didn't you care about game announcements anymore and why are you interested again now, if i can ask?

I always look forward to Indie World presentations and usually enjoy them, but this one was a bit dull. The best looking game was the first one, and then was followed by several games that just didn't interest me. It wasn't until Figment 2 that my brain switched on again, and that was primarily due to the effective sell by that dude with the guitar.
Then after that, only Olli Olli World and Omori looked any good.
But I am tired today, so maybe that affected my perception.
Sea of Stars looked very nice. Except for that character design on the cover art. That was horrific.
I’ve been waiting for Omori to come to switch for about a year now. I’m a huge fan of Earthbound styled games that have strong messages and wreck you emotionally so I know this game will be an absolute masterpiece to me. I’m so excited to finally play it!

Pretty much how I felt. Sea of stars or whatever it's called by sabotage was the only banger for me. I'll probably check out RCG2 though once I give the other game a shot.
I wasn't expecting silksong, sports story, or tmnt to get new trailers with release dates, yet I was still let down it didn't happen 🤣.
It seems Remnant: From the Ashes is being ported too Switch... https://www.esrb.org/ratings/38064/Remnant%3A+From+the+Ashes/
With this and Alan Wake being rated in October, signs are pointing towards a great Direct in January/February (at least for me😉)
