@link3710 Yeah, It's unlikely to happen, but e3 2018 still kind of shook me up a while back, and it worries me that they'd do something like that again.
@MarioBrickLayer I don't think they'd cover merch in a direct about software. Not to mention, they mentioned "Exclusively" in the direct post, which could mean that there'd be less 3rd party games, seeing as they'd only announce the 3rd party exclusives. Also, e3 directs are generally 40-45 minutes long, and hardly go into deep dives on games, so there's probably enough time for them to talk about what they want to talk about.
"It is fate. Many have tried, yet none have ever managed to escape it's flow."
@MarioBrickLayer Keep in mind Nintendo always underestimates length. If they say 40 minutes, it's probably 42-43 minutes.
That said? I'd expect slightly more time spent on 3rd party things. Capcom and Sega don't have their own presentations, so they're likely to feature more heavily here. Ubisoft is a wild card as well, despite having their own event.
Another possibility is that whatever this Microsoft/Nintendo collaboration is might air here. Or it might be in Microsoft's, or both, or not til later in the year.
I'd probably say more like...
10-13 mins existing (there's not that much known, Mario Golf will likely be 1 min max, as well as Pokemon at 1 min for each. Add 1-2 minutes for Hyrule Warriors DLC and 3-6 mins for Smash DLC (depending on if two or one). That leaves 2-3 mins for Bayo 3 / BotW 2 if not a blowout / Prime 4 /Splatoon 3, where we'll likely see only one of these)
12-14 for third party (there will likely be new exclusives as part of this, plus big ports, SMT V gameplay reveal, Monster Hunter DLC + Stories , Resident Evil Switch, etc)
5-7 minutes for new 1st party content (2D Metroid, Super Mario Party 2, Donkey Kong, or whatever else there might be, as well as one bizarre reveal most likely a la Board Games or Ring Fit)
10-15 for whatever the bigger reveal is that has an incredibly long section, possibly Zelda or Mario Kart.
@VoidofLight Exclusively in this case doesn't mean only exclusives, it means they won't talk about hardware / theme parks etc. They can still talk about multiplats.
@link3710 Ah. So just the usual in terms of directs. I guess they used "exclusively", since people are expecting a new switch to be revealed due to rumors.

@jump Red Loftwing Amiibo. It locks the ability to use your loftwing in Skyward Sword behind a 60 dollar Jumbo amiibo that you can't even lift up and scan, due to being as big as a literal book case. It's paint job is horrid, with the eyes being painted where the nostrils should go, and the beak color is on the chest.
well the worst possibilty we can have for Nintendo E3 2021 Direct Presentation, is to repeat E3 2008(Nintendo worst E3), so everyone temper our expectations).
@link3710 Like, I get the worry that it could end up like 2018, but at the same time.. the likeliness of that happening is slim. Not to mention, 40 minutes is as long as e3 directs usually are. Most e3 directs are 45 minutes long, with this one being 5 minutes shorter than usual, which really makes no difference.

@link3710 Smash was their main E ticket game for Christmas 2018. Of course they were going to focus heavily on it. They may do the same this time, but it will be for a game that isn't out yet.
there’s no need to post the same crappy videos in every thread.
Just put him onto your ignore list, it's not like he projects his personal opinion anyway. That's better than complaining about it every time he does it.
I'd laugh my a** off if nintendo tells us the the super switch will have all the features the current itteration doesn't have. Man the comments would descend into a bloodbath.
