@Slowdive Honestly, I'd take no twitter leakers over any. It's just best to wait for Nintendo to actually, you know, reveal the stuff.. instead of having someone potentially spoil everything, or blindly believe people who have no credibility.
There was one twitter "leaker" called Mugwuss, which effectively guessed a bunch of stuff before directs, then after the directs they'd delete the wrong predictions, in an attempt to seem like they had actual credibility. They ended up getting caught however, and got all credibility they once had stripped away from them.

@Slowdive That does appear to be the case here, as he constantly references things he's "hearing" in that rumor and not really making any solid confirmations. Still, I think most if not all of this is true, there's a lot of very believable pieces of information here.
Would've preferred a new Advance Wars or Pushmo from Intelligent Systems
This is my entire opinion on Fire Emblem on a regular basis.
I haven't really been big on much of anything IS has developed, but I do agree that FE is a bit oversaturated. It gets almost as much support as high profile IPs like Mario, Zelda, and Pokemon, but doesn't even sell half as much as them. I don't get why there's been so many of them since Awakening revived the series. I wish Metroid got that much support, it sells about as much.
@Slowdive Yeah.. that's.. not a leak? That's just common sense. Nintendo always reveals their plans for e3 in May, given that e3 is in June, and they need to tell people what day they're aiming to hold the presentation, as well as the big game they're focusing on, if they're focusing on a big game this year. They've done this every year of attendance..

@VoidofLight Emily was also the one that talked about Mario + rabbids prior to Switch launch and nobody believed her until E3. You don't know if Pokémon stars was a real thing and scrapped for let's go. Her and Jeff or Nate to mention a few are not leakers per se but industry insiders and they talk about things they hear. Sometimes they are possible misleaded on purpose and other times plans change midway therefore people need to keep nerves in check but it is not reason to be that pessimist about them

"Industry insiders" = They have a friend or spouse who works for Nintendo and tells them things so they can get credit in exchange for disloyalty
Or in the case of Venturebeat and Video Games Chronicle, they don't want credit, they just want page views, because both of those sites have basically no audience.
@Dezzy not so sure they receive that many clicks from people following their Twitter ( Jeff got more clicks for being the one reviewer crapping on Returnal though )
@Slowdive Nintendo just please reveal your E3 plans already, everyone want to know what game you gonna focus in your Nintendo E3 2021Direct Presentation(i hope is Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2).

The only distinction that matters is whether or not something actually happens. If you’re wrong on that you’re just wrong, period. An “insider” that leaks ten games that turn out to be “cancelled” hasn’t provided any useful information.
There are pokemon "Leaks" happening now for the diamond and pearl remakes that are.. annoying, since it's just someone posting unproven things on instagram, and people believing it. They just posted how at e3 they're going to reveal brand new character models due to the backlash of the old ones.. and that the sinnoh underground was going to be smaller than in the originals, with no actual credibility. People are believing these rumors and saying that Gamefreak is "Lazy", despite there being virtually no proof, and not to mention that one of these rumors got straight up debunked by the official website, where they mention the game is aiming to achieve the feel the original had, and faithfully reproduced the maps and story.
It's difficult to find the distinction between half-truths and full blown bs. Folks consider both far too seriously, oftentimes full blown bs bleeds into becoming assumed half-truths. The rumor mill is a jumbled craziness, but that's why rumors are fun. Why so serious?
Switch Physical Collection - 1,537 games (as of December 22nd, 2025)
Switch 2 Physical Collection - 4 games (as of December 8th, 2025)
@Magician That's the main reason I just don't care for rumors anymore. I'm just tired of people taking them 100% seriously, then causing an uproar when they don't happen. I also hate it when these rumors have no backing, yet spread false info that damages the game, or when people charge people for "leaks", like a certain pokemon "leaker" on twitter.

I have to wonder with the confusion over 2D vs. 3D DK if it's a little of both and if they're trying to find a way to hybridize 2D and 3D gameplay somehow. There's been multiple gameplay styles that have tried this in the past, Super Paper Mario and recent Sonic games are the big ones that stick in my mind, but I'm wondering if they can do a full hybrid, and more importantly do it well. It would be very economical if Nintendo could somehow make a game that satisfies both 2D gameplay and 3D gameplay so we don't need things like say, a NSMB game and a 3D Land/3D World game when they both play fairly similarly otherwise. Any thoughts on how or even if it could work?
@Bolt_Strike
In my opinion Yooka-Laylee and the impossible Lair did an interesting mix between 2D and 3D. The levels were 2D, but they were connected by a 3D overworld.
