The switch pro rumors are annoying to hear.. I’m just hoping for this year to pass so that people stop.

Considering Switch Pro rumors have been swirling ever since the Switch was known as Nintendo NX, I don't believe that hope will manifest itself.

Edit: Correction, Nintendo NX, not Project NX. Project NX was the codename for Super Smash Bros Ultimate.

@VoidofLight I completely agree, Switch Pro is clearly made up as that's something Sony would do and not Nintendo. Nintendo will call it Super Switch clearly ;p

As least Nintendo can take solace in the fact that Labo was more successful than the Virtual Boy.

Maybe even the GameBoy Micro, although I'm not sure just how well Labo sold.

Naming it Super Switch (while I love the nostalgia that nods towards) would suggest the Switch V3 is going to be much more powerful than the current Switch. But it won't be. Switch V3 is just providing updated displays, OLED for portable and upscaling 4k to your TV. Nintendo might as well call it Switch Deluxe, imo.

Save the Super Switch moniker for whatever the Switch 2 ends up being.

@Magician Labo sold over a million units and were pleased with it's sales, just not enough to keep commiting to it.

Where was this hype 3 years ago when they actually released it ;p

@VoidofLight The rumors aren't going to stop until new hardware is announced (whether that's confirmation of a Switch Pro, or when Nintendo announces the Switch's successor). There's too much pent up demand for more powerful hardware to the point where it's easy clicks for reporters to keep talking about it. As long as there are gamers bored and wanting the next big thing, someone's going to tell them about it, regardless of whether or not it's true.

@Bolt_Strike Well, people shouldn't hold their breath, since until the literal pandemic is over, and the chip shortage is fixed, there's not going to be a new switch. Nintendo literally can't produce enough normal systems to meet demand, let alone a brand new console. Not to mention, I bet you money if they did reveal a "Switch Pro", people would be complaining about it because of Scalpers buying them all before anyone else can get ahold of them.

Anyone wanna take a guess at the Microdoft-Nintendo thing? If it's not GamePass which seems like such an obvious win-win for both I'm a bit lost.

I'm not sure Ninty would allow their games (retro or current) on GamePass.
Someone like Master Chief or Battletoads being added to Smash doesn't seem big enough for it to be teased so much since there's already two in Smash but not unlikely.
Microsoft to start publishing games on Switch maybe as they are gonna release Psychonauts 2 on Playstation anyway however their current games wouldn't run on it so maybe going into the backlog for Perfect Dark Zero & old Halo but there's already Ori on Switch so it's a non-story.
Maybe a cross over game like Mario + Rabbids or Cadence of Hyrule but I'm not sure what IP and Microsoft developer it could be, maybe Wind Waker-Sea of Theives or Banjo-Donkey Kong.
Stuff like adding Skype to Switch would be a tad too boring for all this talk.

I don't even think whatever happened between Nintendo and Microsoft rumours will be something that made me interested to know.
I keep myself busy in hunting for old games / BEMANI PS2 games to entertain me during pandemic.
This is my current hype right now.
