@VoidofLight Funnily enough the orginal release of Skyward Sword was the same year as Ocarina of Time 3D ;p

There's no reason why Ninty can't release two big holidays titles one of which may or may not BOTW2 as history has shown otherwise.

Well @VoidofLight @jump the devil is in the details. I doubt the timing of the financial years will be the deciding factor for the release date of the game. It may be that both of you are wrong and that the game'll come out in November. There's a certain art to analysing patterns, though it should go without saying that these patterns mean nothing due to COVID.

@TheJGG Exactly. No one can say for sure what will happen. I just personally think they wouldn't release Skyward Sword HD and BOTW 2 in the same year. I'd happily be wrong though, since that'd mean I'd get to play it sooner.

@VoidofLight Seems we tend to think the same... most of the time at least. My own logic says we won't get both in 2021 but I'd love that to happen; revisiting the past while exploring the future. Marketing strategy and timing'll play a good part, so the obvious guess would be that by September we'll know concrete info about the Breath of the Wild sequel, because by then energy would have died down for Skyward Sword HD.

@TheJGG Actually financial calandars play a huge part of things, as it's what drives a company's reporting it's not a coincidence Ninty has chosen release things like the Switch, ACNH etc on the last release day on their calandars.

@VoidofLight You're literally saying for sure it wont happen though ;p

Also, there's more likely to be a couple more HD Zeldas this year ..... That'd make it much more likely BotW2 is next (calendar) year

@jump I'm setting my mind that it won't happen. Rather expect it not to happen at all, then to think it will and end up being disappointed when the game is revealed to be otherwise.

@jump Releasing a game like Super Mario 3D All-Stars was always going to be a very strange move to keep track of because there were only fourteen days between the launch of the game and the end of their Q2. Animal Crossing edging it that close is classic Nintendo.

Maybe this means a Direct mini or something similar?

EDIT: I guess a Treehouse is more likely.

I really hope Nintendo add 2 or 3 new job for Miitopia HD.

Meh, even though I'm an rpg fan, Miitopia is a borderline trash-tier game.

A tough sell if it were free, never mind Nintendo is asking $50 for a copy.

@Magician
I still choose Miitopia over than AAA looking RPG FF XV.
Miitopia is way much fun and better than FF XV. I don't even like FF XV in the slightest. Too realistic graphic just made me sick.
And Miitopia is NOT a trash. 🤨
Don't you ever say Miitopia is (almost) a trash.
I played it on 3DS, i created my whole team based on my fictional RPG team Planetary Xaviors including my Mii as main hero.
I will get the Switch version too as the new customize tool might help to make my whole team looks more accurate with my Planetary Xaviors design.

@Anti-Matter As much as I like Miitopia, I don't think it's better than actual literal JRPG's. Also imagine not playing a game due to it's graphics (even though the graphics look good), but being a fan of Nintendo, which is a company that's not known for their graphics. Not to mention FFXV isn't the only JRPG, and is considered by most to be the worst Final Fantasy game.

Also, it's disappointing that they went from the easy to select Mii database thing to just codes. I'm hoping it's just replacing QR codes, and not the entire database..

@VoidofLight
My first impression about Miitopia from 3DS version was like "What is that game ? I have never seen quirky RPG game like that. It was hilarious."
The quirkiness and unusual looking of Miitopia as RPG game quickly sold me.
I really like quirky RPG games like Miitopia with a lot of sense of humour rather than too realistic RPG games without even looks funny and interesting.

@Anti-Matter You're missing out on a lot of good games man.

@VoidofLight
I don't have to play every single released games.
I select the games very carefully, only the games that fit with my criterias i will play.

VoidofLight

@Anti-Matter I know. Everyone does that, but it's just weird how you never even try games that are actually good, and just sort of default to shovelware.

Dragon Quest XI's a good RPG with a really light-hearted and whimsical tone. I've played through it for the third time, and now I'm up until Octagonia, and it's been a really enjoyable experience (again, again). It's a game that mixes old and new for the Dragon Quest series. Plus it's not too hard, even for an RPG amateur like myself. Wish I could change it to auteur but ah well...

That game, along with a few niche games like the Persona series, feels like a really cool secret that you only share with close friends. It's both great and a small shame these series have had massive Smash exposure because the element of secrecy is gone.
