After finding out Twelve Minutes was in the Xbox indie event (an Annapurna Interactive game), I'm wondering if Nintendo merged Partner Showcase and Indie World into the February Direct perhaps to make up for the lack of 1st party content. Not sure what other other indie titles there were but there were 2 Annapurna Interactive games (Outer Wilds, Neon White).
EDIT: Rewatching the Direct, there were these indie announcements:
Fall Guys
Outer Wilds
Neon White
Knockout City (EA Originals is a setup where EA publishes indie games)
@Grumblevolcano I’d be surprised if that was the case simply because Nintendo always show indie games at their Directs and I can’t believe there wouldn’t be easily enough indie developers with games coming to the Switch that Nintendo couldn’t get a Indie World showcase sorted. But saying that, I do also wonder if Microsoft doing their indie focused stream/presentation caused Nintendo to delay plans.

Feels like we're overdue for another Indie World or Partner Showcase.
Lots of sweet stuff arriving this spring.
Besides, we're 500-some-odd days from the next Direct anyhow.

If they're bringing back directs, I don't think we're just getting one big direct a year. I feel like we're probably going to get a big one during the summer at least.

Eh. I just normally don't trust leakers. The only one I ever trusted was "king Zell", who had a pretty much spotless track record, and I believe stopped leaking since he gained too much attention.

Lol, they haven't even put N64 games on NSO and they'd have more appeal/be easier to do. The next system to come to NSO, if they actually do another one, will be Game Boy or Game Boy Advance.
@Slowdive If I remember correctly, pokemon fans harassed him when Sword and Shield got revealed, despite him never actually saying the game was going to be "open world".

@Slowdive So people harassed the guy for leaking things correctly, and getting their hopes up when he didn't even say that those two things were actually happening the way they thought.

@Slowdive Oh yeah, I sort of remember that. It sucks honestly that he basically was pushed off the internet, since he was one of the best leakers, and was a legitimate one as well. It kind of sucks that if you end up getting one thing wrong, you're instantly discredited, despite the fact that you got so many other things right.
