To be fair, I get most local region games via snail mail from Amazon. So even though Mario Golf is a late June release, I won't have hands on my copy until July, lol. And Skyward Sword? Pffft, who cares about that trash?
(I kid of course, but I'm not paying $60 for it on day-one like some looney.)
Switch Physical Collection - 1,260 games (as of June 15th, 2024)

I personally wouldn't say disappointing, but I get where you're coming from.
April - New Pokemon Snap
May - Detective Famicom Club
June - DC Super Hero Girls (not my bag, but a legit second party exclusive)
July - Mario Golf: Super Rush
August - No More Heroes III
September - ???
October - ??? (SMT V seems obvious here.)
November - ??? (Diamond/Pearl will be the holiday games.)
December - ??? (Put the Zelda 35th Anniversary release here?)
Super Hero Girls might be cool. I get that Pokémon is such a huge seller, but we just got som DLC.
(I kid of course, but I'm not paying $60 for it on day-one like some looney.).
@Magician Physical games are always on sale like $10-20 off at launch here if you shop around for the cheapest price. Is that not something that happens in the US?
@BenAV No way, no one breaks MSRP ever. If it's Ubisoft, they might put it on sale in a month or two, but for the most part stores always charge the maximum allowed. Chances are we'll get Skyward Sword on sale in 2-3 years.
@link3710 That's interesting, thanks. RRP for Skyward Sword here is $79.99 AUD but it's $68 to preorder on Amazon which is typical launch sale price. I actually don't even know the last time I paid full RRP for an Australian physical release, not in the last few years at the very least.
@Magician That lineup looks pretty pitiful to me. Like, only one tier up from 2020. The lineup desperately needs BotW2 + 1 or 2 more first party games in there before it starts looking decent.
True. I'm just going into my backlog just in case. If we get new games I'll keep playing until said games release and if we don't... I'll just keep playing

Kids, if I hear you simultaneously dismissing every cool Japanese game AND assuming every release on Switch for a year is confirmed by March again, I will turn this car around. We won't get any ice cream, do you understand?

Walmart only charges $50 for $60 games at launch for a month....
I watched that video from Arlo about Shuntaro Furukawa's interview for Kotaku. If he meant even half of the things he said Nintendo are going to have a very good next few years. Here's the quote in question that Arlo focused on:
“Currently, the Switch’s sales are exceedingly favorable and achievements are also good, but I have zero peace of mind,” he said. “Not matter the hits, in the entertainment business, people someday do lose interest. Up until now, we have repeatedly had the experience of our business taking a nosedive.”
“Because of this, I myself as well as those within the company do not at all think the current state of affairs will keep going and going.” For Furukawa, he believes that every single year is a “do or die situation.”
“You must give new customers fresh surprises, and our existence can slip into obscurity at any time. I always have this kind of sense of crisis.”

@rockodoodle Seriously? I avoid walmart like the plague, didn't even know they sold games there.
It’s not my favorite but it does occasionally have its virtues. I have a neighborhood Walmart that’s not so bad. I can even have items shipped there to avoid the big store.
I think an Indie World is most likely to happen this week. I have the feeling that Nintendo wouldn’t do an Indie World presentation shortly before the release of Monster Hunter Rise (a timed Nintendo exclusive). So if it does not happen this week, then my guess is early to mid-April. An Indie World is due to happen soon.
@dionysos283 I'm leaning towards Indie World on March 23rd and the big news around March 16th being the Sanrio Animal Crossing update on March 18th ending up being part of a larger New Horizons 1st anniversary update.
@Grumblevolcano Microsoft are holding an indie live stream direct next week or 26th March. Yesterday Sony did spent an hour on Twitter dropping trailers for indies coming to PS4/5. Nintendo are currently the quietest out of all three.
