@BabyYoda71
One of my biggest hopes for this Direct!
I was already expecting this game last year.

We also know Aspyr is working on a port of Star Wars: Republic Commando as well as something to do with Knights of the Old Republic. Although I can't remember if they're working on ports of the first two games or the third entry?

@Giancarlothomaz

Probably short on new announcements or surprises.

Mostly coverage for games we already know about.

Keep casual gamers informed while making core gamers like us frustrated.

Fine, guess I'll guess something new (even if I expect no new announcements).

Uh... Well, ...I still think we'll see a brand new 2D Zelda by Grezzo. Maaaaybe that comes be here?

Also, Kid Icarus is more than due for something

There's 89k watching the Nintendo America stream right now while 2k are watching the UK Nintendo stream.

Interesting to see what those figures are when it actually starts. Interesting that the UK stream allows for chat whereas the American one has it disabled.

@FragRed have you seen some of the things people say in the NoA chats?

GilbertXI

@Eel my thoughts exactly. hope im wrong though

boop23

FragRed

@GilbertXI No but I can't believe it'll be much different in the UK chat which is why I find it strange. All these kinds of streams have atrocious chats.

@Giancarlothomaz
That happens for pretty much any Direct. But I do think we need to temper things a bit. I really don't expect to hear anything brand-new in terms of first party. Even a Zelda collection I would say we've pretty much guessed. But like, a sudden announcement of Splatoon 3 or Odyssey 2 or Mario Kart 9... personally, I don't think so. This is only supposed to be for first half of 2021.

But I'll be really happy if I'm wrong.

It's been mentioned in the other thread already Emily Rogers doesn't know what's in the Direct. It's just her calming people who are expecting everything and anything to be announced.

@rallydefault I would be shocked if Nintendo has no first party games for the rest of the first half of the year. Even last year they managed to get something out. I do agree we should not expect anything major, but a smaller first party game should be something we get before end of July.

@rallydefault I don’t think BotW2 will be there since the Direct is for the first half of 2020 but also that game was already announced. I feel like if they put a “One more thing...” bonus at the end, that could be a non-first half of 2021, so I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s was a SMO2 trailer. There will definitely be something first-Party though, I think a new Zelda game or collection is likely. Definitely an Animal Crossing update too.

Heigh Ho Heigh Ho. It’s off to work (from home) I go.

jump

@BabyYoda71 they didn’t mentioned anything about games being announced or unannounced, just that it would be for upcoming games in the first half of the year.

They didn't say it was only games in the first half of the year. They said that was the FOCUS. Focus could simply mean that the first 35-40 minutes are for the first half of the year, and the last 10-15 minutes are for things further in the future.

@Magician There was also that Zelda Skyward Sword HD Amazon leak last summer. This seems like the perfect time to announce it to me if that was real.

I think that was the only time we ever heard a Skyward Sword rumour though. So it might have just been a mistake.
Whereas with Metroid Prime Trilogy, we've had indications like that on several occasions, meaning it's almost definitely real.

It's dangerous to go alone! Stay at home.

Quite rare that there's a direct without an E ticket attraction somewhere in there. Even minis often have them.

Be careful on Twitter. Seeing one a lot of people talk about "leaked" announcements for the Direct. Saw what some of them were by accident. Not saying they are genuine and of course won't say what they are just in case they are real. But just saying to be careful.

@jump Thats not the version I have got. Mine looks more like 5 PS5's strapped together with a CRT screen.
