As good as it would be to see LEGO Skywalker Saga here, it's very unlikely but I'm happy to be surprised. Republic Commando, though... Aspyr seem to have been good at announcing these games within Nintendo events even they also go to Playstation consoles, so I'm willing to bet we also see something else that Aspyr have been working on. A big game that's never been available on a Nintendo system.

I'm expecting the start to either be Smash or something completely out-of-the-blue, akin to a few years back when they started with the reveal of Daemon X Machina.
@gcunit@Grumblevolcano
I really hope you guys are right. I'm itching for some Zelda news. I just don't see it happening. Maybe the "one more thing" will be a quick BotW2 teaser, but I just don't see them using this Direct for the anniversary announcements. Then again, maybe they will because times are tight and having another Zelda-focused Direct within a couple weeks just doesn't make sense.
I do think an opening of 15ish minutes of Smash and Animal Crossing would be par for the course. I mean, I love Smash and all, but I really don't know if any game has ever received more Direct time lol
@rallydefault I'm not sure that we're going to be getting enough Zelda anniversary stuff to warrant its own Direct like with Mario so it probably makes sense to just throw any Zelda stuff into the general Direct instead considering they're actually doing one now unlike all of last year.
@MarioBrickLayer I wouldn't be surprised if Animal Crossing didn't even show up given that the next update is in March and they tend to like going into detail of the updates just a couple of days before the update. But that is Nintendo when there were no Nintendo Directs so it is hard to say. I give it a 50/50.
They already said SSB will be featured, so you can bet it will take a long amount of time and that will be "meh". The game released two years ago. I'd rather they just make a separate presentation for it.
Metroid Prime Collection will release next fiscal year, the 2D Metroid is coming Late Spring, the title will be a throwback to the past, Aeion Abilities coming back (some of them brand new), the Fusion suit will be back.
Fire Emblem news should be there tomorrow alongside some Platinum games, Zelda, Mario Sports and a "new" IP. The Direct will cover mostly games till early summer, but some games for late 2021 will be there.
Third party support will be very strong. Some already announced, leaked. Physical Re-editions for old games with DLC include was in the table for time ago, don't know if Ninty will start doing it now or in the near future with games like BOTW, Smash, Splatoon and FE.
Capcom Will have a heavy presence in the Direct.
Don't ask me About who is the smash character.
I'm not sure if this is just a site looking for clicks and have picked up someone random!
@MarioBrickLayer pretty sure this guys right about Capcom, and I think he’s trying to nudge us to guess Wright is gonna be in smash. Honestly everything he said is completely predictable. All stuff I would’ve said, but we can only find out if he’s right after the direct.
@Blooper987 I think the Metroid stuff might be wrong. It's the Metroid anniversary in August and if this direct is focused on the first half of the year, I think we'll see a Metroid announcement in the E3 Direct for an August release or maybe I'm wrong and we get another Metroid specific announcement in August.
@TheFrenchiestFry We'll see later on tonight whether that datamine was correct. But if it is a shadow drop or close release, I do hope they also announce their future plans.

You're probably right, but did we really get that much Mario stuff? I remember Mario 35 and the 3D Collection, but honestly I can't remember what else they did off the top of my head. I guess 3D World still counts if the anniversary isn't over until March.
Edit: Oh, wait, I remember a big one now because it's sitting right next to me on my desk: the Game and Watch! lol So yea, they probably won't do as much for Zelda.
Does someone want to start a separate thread for discussing leaks? Blind fan speculation is fun, but I always find when specifics start getting thrown into this thread that it spoils the Direct experience.
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
@rallydefault I had to sit and think which comment you're replying to and what I said lol. I still don't know which one but I'll chime in anyway.
I'd love to think they'd treat zeldas anniversary the same way as they did Mario's, but I'd bet it's wishful thinking. If we get a SS HD, a compilation of 2 or 3 games, and some G&W I'd be happy. If we get all of that I'd be cool with botw2 being early 2022.
@Varkster I'd love to predict something more out there, but that would assume there's going to be more than 1 new game announcement which seems unlikely.
