@VoidofLight It seems to me they’re mostly celebrating P25 Music this Pokémon Day for some reason. I don’t think there will be any major Pokémon announcements but maybe some Pokémon Snap info.
Heigh Ho Heigh Ho. It’s off to work (from home) I go.
@dionysos283 There's a lot of anniversaries this year though. Metroid, Zelda, Pokemon, Kid Icarus, Animal Crossin,g Pikmin etc so it's the survival of the fittest and the lesser franchises are gonna be eaten by the bigger ones, it's the circle of life.
yes survival of botw indeed
If you spoil a game i will find you.
It's not quite a me, Mario!
@dionysos283 have they ever done much for DK's anniversary? I feel like DK in general isn't a very cohesive franchise. Donkey Kong Country is very different from the original Donkey Kong, for example (and, with Mario for example, Nintendo seem to exclude Mario Bros from the franchise timeline).
Switch Pro or bust, baby. I'm not even being facetious about that either. Games? Got plenty of them. I need some fresh new hardware, Nintendo. (I know it ain't happening, just let this old man dream.)
Switch Physical Collection - 1,260 games (as of June 15th, 2024)

I hope it’s additional BOTW 2 content and a soon to be released Zelda all-stars pack (I missed everything after n64 up to the switch). A galaxy 2 dlc for Mario all-stars would be welcome, as well.
@Magician I don't think they would announce a Switch Pro just after the Mario edition has been released, or while the Monster Hunter edition is still on the way.
That said, this is the company was released the Game Boy Light and Game Boy Color in the same year...
@timleon I think Nintendo will announce the MH Rise Switch and pro controller for NA in this Direct (currently only Europe and Japan). MH Rise will probably get like a 10 minute spotlight.
Anyone think we'll get the release date for Lego Star Wars? I'm really hoping so!!! Also gonna call it now and say Republic Commando gets shadow dropped.

Don't think so. Donkey Kong is important for its historical relevance, but it's very much in their mid-tier franchises in terms of sales. It's in that category with Yoshi, Pikmin, Xenoblade and Fire Emblem. Not the category with Mario, Zelda, Pokemon and Animal Crossing.
50 minutes it's pretty long!! 🤔
If sakurai gets a spotlight i think it will be for a brief announcement for the new fighter, with an invite to another specific smash direct next week, and it makes me wonder if the new fighter has anything to do with the games that nintendo will show.
a part of it will probably be about incoming titles we already know about, but for monster hunter i don't expect too many minutes, considering it got its specific event.
the other half of it it's opn to speculations.
i hope it will be about first party titles for the rest of the year, considering that after pokmenon snap 2021 it's very foggy. maybe quarter placeholders, like "coming autumn" or q3/q4.
