@jump@JokerCK It's the page on Nintendo's website where every Direct that's aired, essentially, is...well, archived. The update implies a new Direct is ready to go.
We're going to get a Pachinko Direct in which Nintendo announces a collaboration with Konami to create a pachinko games exclusively for Switch that's inspired by everyone's favourite 3D Mario level, the pachinko machine level from Sunshine.
@jump@JokerCK the direct archive is a...well...archive, that Nintendo keeps all of the past directs. They have a habit of updating the archive right before a new direct is showcased. They upload it before it's official then all they have to do is make it public afterwards. We can't see what it is but we can see that it's updated.

Mmm... okay, I'm actually possibly buying a direct happening now. Many coincidences, the lack of Animal Crossing Update or Smash DLC news... it might just happen.
Would definitely show up my 'next Direct is in March/April' prediction.
It doesn't have to be today. TGS 2020 begins tomorrow and runs through the weekend. Nintendo may not drop a Direct until that event is over. Keeping the spotlight on themselves.
honestly at this point I expect that we just don't get a full proper one until next. With all of the covid stuff and how clearly it seems to have impacted their release schedule and general output, it's just been easier to dish out the announcements piecemeal until they have enough put together to justify a full direct. That being said I think whatever direct we finally get is gonna be worth the wait.
