@dionysos283 On the Switch front, at the most I think another Just Dance setlist reveal, more info on Immortals Fenyx Rising and more info on Roller Champions. Everything else I think will be just PS4/XB1/PS5/Series X.
This has been one of the worst Nintendo years probably ever, as far as releases and communication go (and as is stated in this topic, this doesn't seem to be due to Covid)
I respectfully disagree. In fact this was a pretty darn good year. Not as good as last year, but definitely better than 2018 all things considered.
To be fair, that image omits Sushi Striker, Octopath Traveller, & Go Vacation in 2018, and Daemon X Machina is missing from the 2019 list. Granted, some of them aren't the biggest games, but if they could make room to include DLC, they should have included all retail releases as well.
Then you have the Dragon Quest games, and while not exclusive, were published by Nintendo in the west (DQB in 2018, & DQB2 and DQXI in 2019).
Then there's Brain Training, which was 2019 in Japan, 2020 in EU, and not yet in NA.
I see your points, but for the reasons I stated I'd stand by the same opinion, especially on the short notice for games.
I am glad though that the year has been more enjoyable for others.
@MS7000
I agree, yeah. Though I haven't tried AC and it might be for me, but not what I feel like trying right now. But it seems like a good game IMO.
Zelda ports/remasters to celebrate 35th anniversary
Zelda Battle Royale to celebrate 35th anniversary
Pokemon Gen 2 or Gen 4 remakes (Let's Go for Gen 2 or either type for Gen 4)
Some blue ocean games like Switch Sports, Nintendogs, Switch Music, etc.
More Wii remasters and Wii U ports
WarioWare
Fire Emblem remake (either FE4 or FE6)
Super Mario Party 2 or Switch Party
If Mario Odyssey 2 doesn't come out in 2021, I think that'll likely mean it just doesn't exist. 4 years is more than enough for a direct sequel like that!

I agree. It's either coming out next year or not at all.
@Dezzy I think if Mario Odyssey 2 was 2021 they would've teased it in the 35th anniversary Direct as a "here's an actual new Mario game coming to Switch" to offset the "all we have is ports" tone of the Direct we actually got.
Grumble, isn't the general response to that that Nintendo wouldn't want people to not purchase the ports because a new Mario game is on the horizon. At least that's the response that people commonly give as to why Nintendo wouldn't make such announcements since apparently it would cannibalize sales.
I know I'm just taking a jab at Atlus' track record with delaying and going silent. If all goes well, the western release should be the same day as the others considering it's meant to be a simultaneous worldwide release.
I dunno, not necessarily. Nintendo very rarely like to announce things that far in advance. If Odyssey 2 is planned for christmas 2021, I expect they'll announce it at E3 next year. It would've been considered too distant for this year's celebration. Even having 3D World be a 2021 game was apparently unintended. It just got delayed, probably because of the new add-on they're making!
what if the rumored Switch Pro that Nintendo is gonna release in the Holiday season of 2021/beginning of 2022 is actualy the Switch sucessor?if Nintendo release the rumored Switch Pro in 2022 and is actualy the Switch sucessor, i would have enough time for Nintendo to release the Switch sucessor, since Shuntaro Furukawa have said Switch have reached the halfpoint of it lifecycle, Nintendo don't usually suport they consoles for a long time, with the excepcions of the portable consoles.
