@DannyBoi Didn't you only want a direct for the system update? We just got a major numbered one, they wouldn't have done that if we were getting OS features any time in the next few months. There's nothing there for you.
I REALLY dont understand why Nintendo are being so quiet. I get the coronavirus is causing issues for them but they could at least admit what new games are coming out.
Coronavirus affects when new games are coming out. Both on the side of effecting game production directly, and on the side of affecting manufacturing, such that Nintendo is has limited knowledge of when there will be sufficient stock to anticipate an increase in sales around the release of big games.
Currently Playing: Steamworld Heist, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Tales of Graces F
I imagine Nintendo don’t want to say anything that would cause a fall in their stock price, more so now that they’re already volatile. So saying nothing about why there’s a lack of announcements is better than saying something.

@DannyBoi Doesn't matter, they wouldn't put out a patch for a non-critical issue just to put out a major update later that month. There's no big update coming, you're literally setting yourself up for disappointment. It's not coming.
@Octane Because they keepmaking us wait and wait. What the hell is going on with the direct!?! It must be finished. I don't believe Venturebeat saying there will be an indie world and a generaldirect this month. Look at all the other rumours.
@DannyBoi Generally we've used PAX East (a week or 2 before) to guess the indie event date early in the year (February/March) but it turns out that during GDC is a more accurate indie event predictor. Hence the Indie World part of the rumour seems pretty likely.
However I don't believe the rest of the rumour as "General Direct coming [insert date]" has been a very common rumour this year and wrong every time. I'm going with April 2nd.
It's not what I want, but I'd take an indie presentation with all the good indies were supposed to be getting this year (crosscode, silksong, gleamlight axiom verge 2, sports story, SoR4 if you count that as indie) all without release dates. If we can get a presentation with release dates, that wouldn't be a terrible thing. But again, much rather have that wham bam general direct.
My favourite outcome for Indie World would be release date for the Cuphead DLC (and as a result the physical version) and announcement of Ori and the Will of the Wisps for Switch being the start and end respectively.
