Don't forget that Mario Kart Tour has a London track (London Loop) so if that was to appear in MK8 Deluxe DLC wave 3, a general Direct in the very near future has the potential to look bad.
@PikaPhantom I disagree, 1 of the big aims of the next general Direct would likely be to try and convince people to subscribe to the NSO Expansion Pack especially as some people are coming up for renewal soon. So if there's something happening for the Expansion Pack later this year I'm sure Nintendo will announce it in the Direct whether wave 3 DLC, new console(s) added, new DLC added, another legacy DLC added, highly anticipated N64 game, etc.
Also the waves can't be purchased separately so nothing is lost from uneven gaps between wave announcements.
I still haven't purchased the expansion pass, and nothing Nintendo will end up doing will make me do so, unless they just get rid of the original online pass.

Booster Course Pass Wave 3 will very likely be announced 1 week or less before launch just like the previous two waves. My guess is that it will launch in November/December.
@westman98 Wave 1 was announced 5 and a half weeks before launch (announcement on February 9th in the Direct, release on March 18th). I think the only reason wave 2 was announced so close to launch was because E3 was cancelled.
Those tweets are totally just exploiting the news for attention. It uses the available plausibility of other stuff getting postponed, and Nintendo having postponed in the past, to get some easy clicks. Nothing in it.
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
I'm eager to see if we'll be getting Return to Arkham and CoD MW announcements.
Still always hoping for a Guilty Gear Strive port, but I wouldn't be surprised if it’s absent.

I don't think this is really much of a rumor. We know directs are generally announced around Monday or Tuesday within the week it'll air. We know a September direct is likely. Next week is the middle of September, which is when they generally do a direct. I feel like this is most likely just an educated guess.

Intending no disrespect for her Majesty, the Queen's funeral is due to be held on the 19th, which would reopen the possibility for a direct to be announced and aired next week after reports from Grubb that the funeral would delay a direct.
I really really don’t think Nintendo has delayed anything because of the death of the Queen. No disrespect to her or the Royal Family, but her passing doesn’t affect Nintendo or pretty much anyone outside of the U.K. and even then, the average person won’t be directly affected.
Ubisoft hasn’t delayed what they broadcast and for them, it would have been far easier to do so because they are in control of all marketing of the games shown. Nintendo would have to discuss and arrange any delays with all third party publishers and I just think it’s too much work for no real reason.

Personally, a 10/10 direct would be:-
1. Windwaker + Twilight Princess
2. Metroid Prime 1
3. Batman Arkham games
4. Lara Croft games update - we need a date!
5. Another 1st party game teaser for 2023 (F-Zero or whatever the Mario team are working on - not Fire Emblem!!)
6. Tunic
7. Sports Story
I know BOTW 2 is coming so I won't mind too much if there isn't an update on it.
