@Giancarlothomaz I'm personally leaning towards October myself, what with Mario+Rabbids also coming out in that month and the fact that Pokemon comes out in November (makes me feel like they'd want to give it as much room as possible to sell, you know? It's POKEMON for crying out loud!).

@Fizza@Giancarlothomaz The week beginning October 29th would be my as guess given that week contains both Halloween (October 31st) and the start of the holiday season (November 1st). Though that is directly connected to my guess that wave 3 has both a ghost track (SNES Ghost Valley 1/2/3, N64 Banshee Boardwalk, GBA Boo Lake, GBA Broken Pier or DS Luigi's Mansion) and Merry Mountain from Tour.
@Grumblevolcano I guess I wouldn't write off the possibility quite yet, considering this is only happening in August. I could still see a Direct around mid-September.

Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition (Switch)
Balatro (PC)
@StarPoint The Splatoon 3 stuff makes me think not before Splatoon 3 launches but Harvestella being present makes me think not in September at all given that game releases in November.
@NintendoByNature Not really. It's important to remember that the closest to 2022's approach so far has been 2020 where Nintendo announced a load of 1st party IP stuff in September even though there was no general Direct.
@westman98 We haven't had Indie World yet, there's usually one in August but this year it looks to be later much like how we got one in May instead of March. I'm leaning towards mid-September Indie World, late September Partner Showcase and early October Bayonetta 3 Direct.
@Grumblevolcano I find it difficult to believe that Nintendo would go into the fall/holiday season with their 2023 lineup being a complete mystery outside of Zelda supposedly being a Spring title.
That time last year we knew about Pokemon Legends Arceus, Triangle Strategy, and Kirby for Q1 with Splatoon 3 and Bayonetta 3 having 2022 release periods.
Currently I don't really need Nintendo Direct at the moment as I got the upcoming games information from play-asia and other direct (Wholesome Direct, Gamescom, etc)
@IceClimbers Different years had different setups for example before the February 2021 general Direct the only 2021 games we knew about were 3D World and a bunch of 3rd party titles like Bravely Default II and MH Rise. Similar secrecy was present prior to the January 2018 Direct Mini about the 2018 lineup and even then Bayonetta 1+2 was a Game Awards reveal.
It all comes down to hardware I think. If Nintendo wants to fully reveal hardware in September, there will very likely be a gigantic general Direct but if they want to do it in January like they did with the original Switch (or if there's no hardware) they could end up having Advance Wars, Detective Pikachu or a 3rd party exclusive get a release window of early 2023.
I think the maintenance suggests 2022 for Advance Wars but then again, nothing came of those Goldeneye Xbox rumours and both are likely held up for the exact same reason.
